On your website I see Explore Your County NOT Explore Your City. I put in the permit number and the address and it shows no results. I know there is a permit. I see no link to SEARCH PERMITS. Can you make it easier to search for a permit? I did register but that does not allow me to search for permits. Need better instructions on your web page. I watched the video but that is out of date. Still trying to search for a permit.

It's just mind boggling just how much illegal invaders have damaged or destroyed parts of this country.

Seeing this clean-up is terrific - it also brings to mind all the many many sunken and/or submerged boats in the Bahamas - now THAT'S a clean-up job!! would cost millions but how cool to have that beauty restored.

The idea of a user tax Florida claims on vessels bought in another state could be a good reason to be responsible for clean up.

I quess my question is that like an abandoned vehicle on the road. You tag it. Wait a day or two. Then a contractor will tow it away. If it is damaged or otherwise incapable of being salvaged, you document it and destroy it appropriately. Otherwise attempt to contact owners and then sell it if you can. I don't see all the problems. If your salvage operator knows how to deal with environmental issues, then Bob is your uncle. I am sure that the state could realistically let a contract and make it happen in any waters under various authorities. It cannot be that difficult to identify and report this to a state licensed salvage operator. Give them the appropriate documentation and let them do their job.

What advantage is there to creating a "business" account vs a "personal" account?

When uploading file attachments, are there any file size or file format limitations? e.g. jpg, png, pdf, zip, Doc, xlsx etc.

When the Applicant adds a contact such as an Engineer or an Architect to their application, does being a contact allow that professional to upload documents to this permit on behalf of their Client?

Remarkable! The interior is even more impressive. Congratulations to Director Kimberly Matthews, the Library Staff, Public Works, Commissioner David Rice and all the Monroe County employees and Community residents who worked tirelessly to create such a beautiful, green and essential community facility. Great video - I'm happy to see Monroe County take action and initiate this clean-up. I know there are many derelict vessels throughout other areas of Florida. I hope more clean-ups such as this are ongoing or planned.

Our officials need to put a mandatory shelter in place order. You need to do it now. Unless you enforce these orders it won’t change. I was in the new Publix and people were literally leaning over my cart and bumping into me. You need to protect the community. They can’t seem to figure it out for themselves. I left my home 1 time since the 23 rd for groceries. Shelter in place needs to be mandatory and people need to be fined! Stop thinking people will follow the stay at home order....mandatory lockdown is the only way.

I had the great honor and privilege to know David Harrison Wright in Key West, and to sail many times on his Sharpie Schooner "Nita Faye", through the flats, mangrove bird preservation off Key West Harbor. David passed-away this year, and we will be truly missed by the many friends he had, but his Spirit will always live-on through the many many beautiful Watercolor paintings he created during the decades he lived in Key West, and the ships models, which look amazing on this video. David has great Texas Charm; I remember he had a big white Oldsmobile 98 and would drive 5 MPH though Old Town, stopping every few seconds to speak with another friend passing-by.

Monroe County is celebrating Juneteenth with an immersive, original short film about the construction and historical significance of the African Cemetery Memorial at the County-owned Higgs Beach in Key West. The 25-minute film was conceived and produced by Monroe County’s TV/Multimedia Sr. Coordinator Jethón Williams II. The film follows the construction of the memorial, which began in 2007 with the pouring of the concrete foundation to the installation of the ornamental fencing in 2010.
