How can you revisit the goblin location on Chp. 0
What do you have against pretty boys? Dislike.
Can’t believe you missed and didn’t correct yourself on play through
Thank you very much ❤
P R O M O S M 😊
it is interesting to see the development of R or SR characters for me
Also the edgelord dragon is Lu Woh not Wilnas
What wouldn't he call generic
I have never seen a better compilation of god awful terrible takes! Congratulations!
I wa surprised you only have 4.59k subs, I was like, “You gotta have at least 50k, WHAT?” You 100% deserve at least 50k bro, you’re one of the best! ❤
In the Stellar Blade Demo, you have to use the Beta Skills to cause more damage & break down the balance shield!?
I think that "frozen part" after a retribution is on purpose so you don't gang on the boss and feel like you're a duel.
I agree on pretty much every point you had here. I was expecting a lot more fast-paced button spam with an emphasis on i-frame dodging but that is not at all how the game feels which threw me for a loop when first trying the demo out. I was also a little surprised by just how short the dodge movement is and the complete lack of a double jump. It's funny how our expectations are made just by the style of the game's visuals.
There is actually a double jump in the game, it's just an unlockable skill. You can't unlock it in the main demo, but it is unlocked in the boss challenge.
@@Wintermere good to know
Can’t agree more…the combat is not all that hack n slash. Do you have a link to see you playing the demo live?
I found the complaint about combat strange because the demo is clearly a big tutorial about the game. Everything there is shown little by little, being a real practical lesson on the game's mechanics.
That “hp phase shift” thing that made your rebtribution do zero damage seems more like a bug imo. I can’t imagine that’s supposed to happen.
Maybe? I've seen it in other games personally. We'll find out soon enough. Some will. I hope for a PC release...
@@QuintemTA yeah, but it doesn’t really make sense INT the context where it’s happening in this game. Other games will have a very clear warning that the enemy won’t take any damage. Pretty sure I’ve gotten a retribution in the exact same scenario and it did plenty of damage. The enemy shield really has a huge impact on the damage you deal to it. No shields will allow retribution to do like 15-20% I thinks pretty decent chunk.
The state of play showcase/trailer recently showed off pretty clearly exactly how the game would play and feel imo. That’s why the demo was exactly what I expected and it was simply an opportunity to actually FEEL how smooth the game was. Their was also a full video of the boss fight from the demo’s boss challenge about a year ago. So the gameplay of this game was only a mystery if you weren’t really paying attention to the information that was out there.
7:26 - You can unlock everything (sans the skills with x's). I know because I spent 15 hours doing it lol. The XP dropoff isn't too bad honestly. Went from getting about 50-55% to 38-42% each run.
I got zero to negative interest in this game
who asked?
Literally no one asked, blud.
I really hope that this will come to PC. Games like this needs to be play at a consistent 60fps at the min
digital foundry tested the "performance Mode" in the game. And it is a perfect 60
Doms roundtable played it on balanced mode, and he said he didnt experience a single frame drop
buying it just cause I hate Western devs pushing woke/DEI shit. Eastern devs know what a good game is
vs multiple small enemies we`ll have to use the AOE skills
I thought it was going to be akin to DMC or Bayonetta, which I wasn't too interested in. But after playing the demo, I see it's more an interesting and very satisfying mix of Nier Automata and Dark Souls. I was loving the demo and it sold me on the game day one. Not preordering because fuck that. But I'll be there with bells on for its launch. And let's face it, we scholarly types must support the devs not scared to make... visually appealing games still. It's a dying art thanks to cancel culture.
This is made by the same devs as Nikke, and anyone who's played that game knows that the story and gameplay is what drives it. I can't wait for a stellar blade to launch.
Gameplay I don’t know about that because it’s mobile and you aren’t doing much from what I’ve seen but I could be wrong I don’t have the game nor have I played it, all I know is it’s hot Anime chicks with guns in a war it looks like. Now as for the story I’ve seen people enjoy it and like it so I agree with that part but the gameplay I think I need to experience myself or watch someone who knows how to play it.
@@Sage-H26 Okay, so the gameplay is basically like one of those old school Arcade shooters where you shoot moving targets on a multi-layered space. At first, it's basically automatic. You leave it on Autoplay and let the NIKKEs do the job for you. But mid-to-late game it starts to genuinely get hard the larger the power level gap becomes. You gotta time taking cover, properly organise a squad that relies on a good Burst Cycle and pay attention to the Boss mechanics.
i play nikke daily but game play just sucks - its just mostly about collecting resources everyday so you can level up to see the next chapter. but then story is decent in some events.
"Handful" of reasons. Nice.
thanks for some reason couldn't find #24 so i had to watch different video to find it

Now that they’ve added the new game option, the complaints about MTX are just people complaining for the sake of complaining. I’m 70 hours into the game and never felt compelled to buy anything.
My favourite way of describing this style of micro-transactions that I've heard is "mind-spiders." When you were talking about the red orbs in DMC5 it reminded me of it. The idea that there's a terrifying spider (the micro-transactions) behind you at all times. The spider is sealed in a box and it cannot escape, but it's still *there.* They may be ignorable, but they will never be okay.
You don't have to buy anything to enjoy the game
Kinda lame but I'll just enjoy the game and not buy the MTX just like LAD:8 Infinite Wealth. I refuse to be one of these delusional video game communists stuck back in 2004 with no understanding of economics, inflation, or business practices. I buy em on special or not at all, not gonna protest or boycott a company because if I'm broke enough that I'm truly devastated about stuff like DLC at launch then I've got bigger problems to deal with. I still got love for my gamer gang but some of them getting straight delusional labelling any and everything as P2W or "Predatory" as if the games come with a robotic arm that forces them to grab their wallet and swipe. I don't like them messing with the modding community, but at the same time DD1 and MonHun mods go in the direction of cheating and completely destroy the developers vision and intent so I can see why they'd do it. I play MH on console just to play with other (99.99%) legit players who work for their gear and items.
FYI for anyone trying to get the Portcrystal in the griffins nest, a very easy way to get there is to ride the griffin. If at any point you find a griffin in the map, initiate combat. At some point during the fight, the griffin will attempt to fly away. You can grab on before it does that and ride it as it flies back to its nest. Just make sure to bring a lot of meals that increase stamina as it will try to throw you off mid flight. It will take you directly to the port crystal and you can grab it and run away right after!
I bought the port crystal, I'll be honest, i needed an extra.. but i already knew i could've done a new game plus and doubled my crystals for free, i just wanted it then... ferry stones and wake shards drop so much (especially late game) the port crystald help a ton. Although with 4 crystals im satisfied, but i want one for my travels.
DD2 micro transactions seem to be in there strictly to placate ignorant investors who probably don’t know how Dragon’s Dogma works. It was understandably a niché title so I can totally see the devs trying to meet a “we need at least X amount of MTX” mandate by populating the store with frankly worthless stuff to trick the accounting wing. Hell, it even tricked most gamers. I was under the impression for a week that you could purchase ferrystones from how outsized the outrage was but you actually can’t do that.
Considering you will increase your carrying capacity as you progress through the game, a lighter camping kit is not a significant upgrade. I do think it’s ridiculous to charge for an item that barely affects your game, but if you purchase that item then that’s on you, no?
This is disappointing. In trying to stop the spread of misinformation. You are spreading misinformation. Example: With the camping kits. The DLC grants you a camping kit that is lighter than the in-game one. It also unlocks the ability to buy this kit in-game. Considering how weight management is a thing in DD2, this is a pretty significant upgrade on what is gotten normally without the DLC. Note this information is written in the write-up for the DLC. Not sure how you missed it. People need to stop apologizing for bad practices just because they want the game to succeed. If you don't mind it and play it, go nuts. But stop making excuses for it and lying about it. Stop acting like people don't have a right to be upset just because you like the game and want it to make money. I like the game too. I wanted it to be a great game. But I am not going to lie to myself and ignore reality. That is how we went from horse armor to EXP passes. Ubisoft did this with Asscreed, started off not that bad and just got worse over time. Capcom has already done this with DMC5 and ResEvil4, and with each version it gets a little bit worse. They are testing the waters to see how much they can get away with. So stop making excuses for them and let people be pissed. It could actually lead to better games if the companies think that this kinda crap would negatively affect sales.
It's free money for nothing to Capcom likely. Nearly everything in the mtx list are already in the game meaning it probably took one of the programmers less than an hour or so to copy-paste-edit them for zero extra cost to the company, and yet people will still buy them for real money. And while people say they're useless or that you can get them in-game or that they're not P2W, the fact of the matter is that they give you an instant advantage of not having to spend your time looking for and gathering said items yourself. Interestingly enough, despite putting nearly everything in a bundle, the Portcrystal mtx is not included in it for some reason.
Don't buy them, Dragons Dogma 1&2 are incredible games that won't hold your hand.. The sooner we accept that micro transactions exist the sooner we can move on..
They are video game communists who want game developers hungry and poor, like starving artists who "do it for the love". Game publishers are a business not a charity, and there are plenty of cheap indie games with no monetization that people can play if they truly want to go against the mainstream.
Resident Evil 4 Remake did it even worse because the upgrade ticket DLC was patched into the game with the Mercenaries mode, so it dodged the initial reviews. But most people didn't notice it because the game didn't have major flaws while Dragon's Dogma 2 launched with a myriad of technical issues that made the DLC easy pickings. I don't approve of adding MTX to full priced games, but the difference in people's attitude is pretty interesting.
Keep in mind, you can only buy each of the items one time, like every other Capcom Game that have had these in the last decade or so. None of the purchases are repeatable purchases. The Harpy Snare comes with the "Deluxe Edition" as one of the items part of it. So, there is about 40$ of mtx, which, when you look at anything else from Capcom released in the last decade, is quite possibly the least ever. *However* that does not make these things okay, we as consumers really just need to stop spending money on it, and hopefully in another 30 years, Capcom will be down to 5$ of stuff from the +60$ of 12 years ago.
I didn't even know the game had microtransactions until I saw people complaining online. The DLC is so bizarre because as you said they're all useless and easily obtainable in game, but also I'm pretty sure you can only buy them once, so its not like they're trying to milk a few whales for everything they got. The only thing the DLCs seems to do is generate a ton of bad PR. It has to be some company mandate to have a certain number of microtransactions or something, because it makes no sense otherwise.
First off great video as usual! I have said it before but its worth repeating the microtransactions can be ignored. The things that I personally find more worth complaining about are things like the DRM schemes and the optimization. That said Happy is absolutely right, that the optics of that giant "dlc" list is really bad, Capcom marketing and sales dept has waaay to much input and too little knowledge to make their monetisation palatable it seems. Now then the performance and the DRM why is it so bad? There are not just one but several DRM schemes in this game, including installs limited to 4 separate machines, then the licence is dead and you have to re-buy the game. If you are a experienced pc user you know, that depending on your upgrade cycle this is bad and could render your copy dead in a few years. For a practical example, if this would have been the case for DD1 I wouldnt have been able to replay the game again this year because the license would have been dead due to me upgrading partially over the years rendering the machine profile on my pc changed several times over, add to that maybe a laptop install or future deck install and you are very likely royally screwed in a few years. Then there is the the wonky optimization. It actually uses all threads or most threads on your CPU but for what? That seems to be a mystery at times, it supposedly is doing it to calculate NPC behaviour/movement but it seems to do it in a really weird way. The gpu only gets any kind of real load when out in the open world with trees, grass and other scenery being rendered, cities tank the CPU to the point of crashing the game for some. For more, GN has a good performance breakdown. A final minor gripe is that there is no in-game option to at least delete your save and start out with a fresh save, seems like a real weird oversight. I can get the "one save" thing but at least give me agency over it without having to disable cloud saves and then manually go and delete it in folders, then create a new one while cloud saves are turned off and then turn it on and then manually having to pick the local copy as the one to save, lots of hoops that should be two button prompts in game. That said I enjoy the game just as much as I did DD1, a good time, flaws and all. Peace
yup. wasn't expecting that but yup! on point
Original Dragon's Dogma had 60$ worth of mtx post launch, not counting Dark Arisen. Is was even worse with all the quest packs, gear packs and catchup gear for BBI. I'd say 12 years later Capcom went very soft on us with DD2 considering our current gaming climate.
Even if you don't buy the game, Capcom wouldn't have data metrics on why copies would go UNsold, or how many. That unsold copy could be for any number of reasons, how will they know it's for the MTX reason? They could just assume it's because of the framerate or any other more convenient excuse of an issue brought up in reviews. I think the only way to clearly express to them outrage at the MTX specifically in clear terms is the Steam review bombing, one of the few public avenues of customers being able to express discontent and make sure the publisher sees it and maybe start to care about the concern. Other games got away with it, but it wasn't right when they did it either is the point, and so the rage falls to this game because it seems like a particularly heinous breaking point for a game that was otherwise hyped over
13:03 skip port crystal spoiler
11:16 that was SUPER helpful to know. Its not just a static placement, you can pick it up. We can all agree people over reacted to these. glad I subbed to this channel, thanks for the breakdown and well constructed vid Hap. Cheers!
Exactly, the mtx are unneeded. Now if one was an infinite use ferrystone tho 😅
"Art ot Metamorphosis" tho, it doesnt access give your character demo arisen/pawns you've made like when starting your playthrough is a massive oversight.
I'm sorry, this literally needs to be said a second time. You call half the character designs too generic, yet then at the same time, you call half the character designs "too extra" or "overly embellished". You're being far too picky my dude.
