That's a nice 113! The fact that it is not new old stock gives it a bit more character too! 👍 Funny thing about the M400 crack you pointed out. I also picked up the same style M400 as new old stock this past summer and it arrived with the same crack in the casting. Something tells me these fixtures aren't being handled too well during shipping.

Nice! The bulb is 400W, but what i find interesting is that there are now ignitors or capacitors, so i think it's safe to run 400W MV

An interesting thing to note about the lampholder is that it should have a notch that can allow for specially designed horizontal burning metal halide lamps to be used since those lamps have specialized position oriented E39 mogul bases to prevent accidental installation into regular E39 base lampholders. This is because such lampholders are identified as having a yellow exterior glazing on the outside. When the fixture is installed properly, you can properly run these dedicated horizontal burning metal halide lamps. Some of these lamps can easily be identified if you see a curved arc tube in them. The advantage that those lamps have over conventional metal halide lamps is that light output can be optimized since the arc tube's structure is designed to align with the arc's inherent upward bow. An example of one of those lamps would be a Sylvania MS400/HOR lamp.

Brand new HPS lamps don’t seem to have the bluish startup

Weird that it didn’t have the bluish or white startup, usually see that in the cycling lamps.

Clear MV lamps look like an aged HPS lamp on startup, but the color never shifts to orange.

Very cool! I would most certainly love to see more street light videos. My favorite street light is a westinghouse OV-25. I wouldn't say anything specifically for what fixtures to find but i guess anything MV as they are starting to become endangered.
