Home Renovation | Kitchen & utility worktops installed, and the flooring being started!
I am so pleased that the worktops have finally been fitted! It has finished off the kitchen and utility room nicely and with Sam making a start on the floor, I can see it all coming together. With our electrician connecting all the appliances, it has been a great bonus as it means we can finally use an oven again! 🥳

I can’t believe how fast the kitchen and utility units have been installed. It feels so good to have made a start on building the kitchen cabinets and units and seeing it come together is so satisfying. The painting has been non-stop in the kitchen, extension and utility room so lots of progress has been made. We wanted to make sure that it all got finished before the kitchen delivery, so Sam and my dad have worked tirelessly hard to get it all done. The renovation work never stops, and it has been difficult to keep up with the progress as it has been happening at such a quick pace. To say that the extension and kitchen area is almost plastered, and the flooring is screeded just blows my mind. I cannot believe how much of a difference knocking the kitchen wall through has made! It has brightened up the space so much and I can now visualise what our space will look like when it’s all completed. It has been such a whirlwind of a week with the rendering being done on the extension and preparing for the kitchen to be taken out. The extension roof is so close to being watertight and I am so pleased with how much Sam has managed to get done over the past week. He has never installed a rubber roof before so it was a challenge, but I knew he would do it well! The news is finally out! We are having a baby and feel so incredibly blessed to start this next chapter. It hasn't been an easy journey for us but now we see the brightest rainbow after the darkest clouds, we couldn't be anymore grateful. The extension work went from 0-100 real fast and having the roof structure up feels like massive progress. It’s all systems go with organising for electrics, rendering and designing the kitchen that it’s starting to feel a bit more real now. We had the most relaxing holiday in Gran Canaria celebrating Sam’s 30th birthday. I didn’t vlog as much as I’d hoped due to the amount of time spent around the pool - we really did make the most of not doing a lot!
