I love to ride my bike. It's no secret I love dirt the most. I love to ride with riders of any ability. I have been told by others that they appreciate riding with me as I explain the trails ahead and encourage them positively.
I consider myself an average rider with an above average taste for having fun while I ride. That doesn't mean hitting the biggest features or gnarliest trails. Sometimes it means stopping to session a particular feature or try a feature I had not tried before.
I love my home trail but also love to travel and try new locations. My videos will not only show the trails I ride, but the adventures along the way. By seeking adventure not only on the trails but on the way to them I truly enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
My wife and I are in the process of MTB'ing in all 50 States. Join us in our quest as we enjoy the journey to each riding destination as well as the very diverse trails we find along the way. Life is a Journey. Enjoy the trip!

Thunder Mountain Utah: An epic ride
Переглядів 2899 місяців тому
Thunder Mountain in Panguitch Utah is one of the most unique and beautiful trails we have ridden so far. The trail is just over 8 miles and is a mix of mostly blue trails with some tough black sections mixed in. The scenery changed throughout the ride. We started in the high alpine region and worked our way down to the sandstone formations to finally the lower alpine sections to our vehicle. So...

Rolling Fireline: Tina and I check out this SUPER FUN trail in Bentonville!
Name of the trail ? Anchorage ?
Euw!
I live literally right next to the trails and i immediately recognized northwoods
Sylvan has two new trails now, Double Vision (Int and Advanced); the Advanced line has a large drop for a squirrel catcher that's between this one and Fishhook, difficulty-wise.
Thanks for the update. I look forward to checking them out next time in the area.
You and your damn snow..well at least you have a cool bride.
Thanks man! When are you in area again?
@@MTBTrailSherpa couple weeks hopefully
The unmarked trail to the water falls is just to the right at the entrance to the main trail
We actually saw that but figured the cllimb back up was too much. We had already biked a ton and were going hiking next. Great comment though.
Looks like a good time! Easier trail for someone like me! :-P
@@Jugomugo you would enjoy that place
I’m ready when you are to go back lol 🤙
What dates are you available.
Such a fun day ❤🤘🚵♂️
So many so far and so many yet to have!
The music detracts.
I appreciate your comment. This was an early video of mine and I have learned to reduce the volume so it does not detract from the content where appropriate.
That place looks so fun and beautiful
There was a lot to see on this ride.
Hurray a Rico Strava post --leave in 3 weeks for the annual trip....
When are we gonna ride together?
@@MTBTrailSherpa offroad wont be until 2025....been on a new medication and have been walking 20-25 miles a week the past 4 months to get the ligaments and tendons capable ...leave in a few weeks for my yearly trip to Colorado then when I get back going to ride stone bridge a few miles on the gravel bike to see how things go
@@DeanJohnson67 Safe travels my friend. Let me know when you are gonna ride stonebridge and I will join you.

Cool
@@RubyFöger thank you!
Sweet!
Very!
Oh lord, my knees are shaking watching this. I rode Joe's ridge (20) years ago at 41, not knowing about the steep decline on the other side. At the time, I was an intermediate rider on a 1990's hardtail Cannondale & it was only God Almighty who kept me from dying. Once I hit the top & it was too late to turn around, it was do or die. My butt was literally dropped behind my seat literally feeling the back tires so I wouldn't endo over the handle bars & praying the whole time, with alternate braking. Truly scariest thing I've ever ridden. Thanks for videoing as a reminder for the terror of that day...laughing.
That's awesome!! Thanks for sharing such an incredible memory. I can only imagine on the old bikes and on wilder trails how treacherous it was. I am 61 currently and the equipment is much better these days.
Great video too ruff for this old man
Thanks for the watch and comment. It was pretty rough for me as well as I underestimated my water needs.
I ran out water before went alot than I planned now I have a couple bottles left when I get back
I've been riding 5 Years now and I just discovered a couple days ago that a 1 liter bottle will fit perfect in a trek plastic bottle cage
Cool I live in Milwacky:) My term for Milwaukee. But would love to some day join the ride! Looks like a lot of fun!
Thanks for the comment. Keep rolling!
This is the video I was exactly looking for. Thanks a lot for posting it!
So great to hear! Thank you for the feedback
nice! I want to try a hi mom on it next time Im there
That would be cool
I did the trail on a hard tail yesterday. The second drop is tough! Fun trail, difficult
Well done!!
More stunning landscapes! Can't help but wonder what spectacular destination you have in store next.
Currently looking to hit up some East Coast trails this year. I have a couple spots in mind so far but nothing as EPIC as Utah yet.
Correct, you are Rico!! That landscape is stunning. You guys always seem to pick some pretty cool locations 💕
Thanks man! there are so many gorgeous places to ride in this country.
okay! now this is your best destination based on the views!
There is definitely no shortage of views in Utah!
Hey Rico! I'm getting ready to replace the Wozo press fit bearings, and I had to come back to this video for a quick review of the process! 😊
as Mr. Burns would say "E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T"
Thanks kind sir! Are you ready to ride yet?
Awesome, as always!
Thank you sir!
Now I see why you were so comfortable on those rocky tech trails in Bentonville.
Oh Man!! We had sooo much great riding out west.
This Local is hanging from my wall to check out, when i travel to portland from seattle to see grand boys. And after my new knee is ready. 6 months from last week.
Wish you a speedy recovery and enjoy the trails. Really cool place to ride.
Excellent video.
Thank you sir!
I'll bet the women were less than thrilled after waiting for quite a while. I usually go weekly, so I know it's no easy task to make it back to them.
You are correct. They weren't happy. Being first time there, we misjudged the distance, elevation and the time factor. On the map it looks so close and easy.
Underdown is our best kept secret in north-central Wisconsin. These trails are right in my backyard. I love it here!!
I wish I could ride them more frequently. Some really nice trails there
Opinion question for ya both - I'll be up here in mid-October and wondering if I could bring my gravel/CX setup instead for some under-biking. Any issue with that? It looks fairly tame in terms of rocks/roots, but always difficult to tell on video! And/or would fallen leaves be too slippery for smaller tires?
@@aschwarz7778 it does get slippery once the leaves begin to fall, hiding rocks and roots. Some of the trails are ok with the gravel set up and some aren’t. The prairie river trail that adjoins underdown I think will be great for your gravel setup.
What a beautiful ride. Looks real fun.
If you are ever there, I recommend checking it out. Thanks for watching
Did you hit the Red Canyon Trails too? I love that area.
I wish! We had so many things to do we couldn't fit them all in. I will have to check them out next time there.
Looks amazing!
It felt surreal while we were riding there.
Gorgeous scenery on this one. This is mtb as it was intended. Keep em coming!
Thank Frank. Knocking that bucket over with this trip.....
@MTBTrailSherpa your bucket runneth over! lol.

Have you ridden there Justin? We plan on going back again.. Maybe once I retire in a couple years.

Thanks man. I have about 400 hours of footage from that trip to go thru yet...
Wow!!!
For sure
Great Job Tina!! That's some amazing scenery to ride through.
That's for sure. Would go back there in a heartbeat!
Tina is killing it!
She was! She loves her new bike
Absolutely amazing Rico!!
We loved out out there
amazing views! Have this years States picked out yet ??
Yup. Heading east to Maryland, DC, possibly jersey, north Carolina and Virginia. We have a wedding in Baltimore in October so we will explore the area.
Looks like so much fun!
We will be back!
The amount of visibility compared to what we are used to makes it pretty interesting. What great views while riding! It's like riding Copper Harbor and you need to watch the the trail but you want to look at the lake! :-P
It is so gorgeous riding out there. The views are stunning. We stopped a lot to just enjoy the views.
