Why Mineral SPF?
Here are a few reasons why I choose a mineral sunscreen.
1. TOTALLY safe. Of course each brand and type differs with their ingredient list, but generally speaking, if you go for a 100% mineral sunscreen without synthetic fragrance, you don't have to worry about any potential hormone disruptors.
2. Great for Sensitive skin and inflammatory skin.
3. Broad Spectrum Protection!
4. Physical barrier protection.
Also forgot to mention that it's safe for marine life and coral reefs :)

chemical sunscreens are safe. physical sunscreens still primarily work by absorbing UV. physical sunscreens typically have an unavoidable whitecast, so it is really easy to recommend mineral sunscreens if you are a white person. stop spreading these myths, they're dangerous.

Hi, Jen. Thank you for sharing your expertise! I’m 60. I was fortunate not to need make up And have not worn much make up my whole life I’m a bit of a tom boy, But I’m feminine, I love being a woman. I found I got too much attention when I wore make up, Which was too much for me Well, now I need it. I did wear makeup in the past, It was minimal Accentuate my eyecolor a little bit And was fast on two minutes or less - Very easy to wash off. So this sounds right up my alley! I’m also considering A few minimal plastic surgeries. I won’t know until I investigate more systematically This French style you’re talking about is the first I’ve heard, And sounds very appealing to me I’ll watch it after I’ve gotten some sleep and Look forward to your channel. Really nice job Jenn! I don’t normally like makeup but I know why, now. This taught me a few things that I’ve been missing and I need to pay attention to... such as for best results it is important keeping water based or oiled based makeup items within the same group. Already shared this with my daughters. This will act as a compass for their beauty regiment. It’s best to know this early on. Thanks!

Oh, and I think I saw a dancing bottle of Thayer’s Witch Hazel Face toner on your screen? I love it, but I don’t think you mentioned it. :)
Thanks for all the tips! I have been using 20% Glycolic resurfacing pads in the morning for a little over a month now - but I wasn’t using a toner after - just regular or tinted sunscreen. Would using a toner calm my skin down a bit before using the sunscreen? At night I’m using Tretinoin followed by a moisturizer. They say it takes about three months to really see a difference. I’ll let you know! :)
If you are already exfoliating AND using a retin A I would say skip the toner- are you using a moisturizer or serum?! You need to hydrate the skin! I’d say a facial mist would be beneficial but if you specifically want a toner- this one looks good : m.sephora.com/product/rose-deep-hydration-facial-toner-P417936
@@JenBrownMakeup I have been using the Thayer's Rose Petal Face toner just at night before I apply the RetinA. Then I put on some moisturizer (trying Honeyskin Ultimate Face and Body cream). Thanks!
