Mexicans are not mulatto you guys are mestizo. i wonder if your very distant black blood your ancestors had makes you guys still think thats a factor within you at all. take a look in the mirror
Spain has never been race obsessed, that is a big misconception. Race had no impact on your social standing, staments were important in the social ladder, not race.
Terrific Documentary!
I saw part of this documentary during the past week but I can't find it again of KNME.
I can't wait to watch this in Penasco! Very, very important. Acequias preciosas.
I am no longer in NM but would love to see this! Will it be streamed at some point? Thank you from NC!
Beautiful ! Magical New Mexico 🌞
Los primos son jente DE Nuevo Mejico . Que Bueno!
Yes, we are a mixed blood group of New Mexicans. we the human people have been mixing for a long, long, long time. We are going to mix some more. What, is most important is what is in a person"'s heart. Jesus, is the way to stay and be a good person.
Let''s be good persons, and accept each other as good people.
My wife and I have been researching for more the fifty years. We found out that we are cousins. So, we have several Ancesters, that we both share. Our children now have a lot of good research to do. We have learned much about about New Mexico, also, Spain, also, the Middle East, also, Other parts of the World. Our, Bach family goes back to Spain to the 1200's. Our American Indian Ancestors The Pueblos, go back to the people that came from Asia. So, we are also, Asian. Yea!, So, we, really have a large family background.
Great information!
The sound gets much better after the first couple of minutes.
En español !!!!😠 Por favor. 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
P
That women who asked what a Hispano is lol cmon
This should be taught in New Mexico History classes in high school level. New Mexicans needs to fully understand where they are coming from instead of believing the fable of pure Spanish blood. Genízaros are either mestizos or semi-indigenous (if that's a term). Thanks for sharing this video!
A very interesting lecture, which let us knowing a bit more on Southwest (NM) History and authors, as R. Anaya as well presented on your book "Querencia. Reflections on the New Mexico Homeland". Thank you so much!
Yup Latin America as a whole is mostly Mestizo, Pardo, And Castizo
Excellent discussion -- thank you for shedding so much objective light on these topics!!
Good afternoon UNM! Just wanted to check in and see where I would be able to source the full video. Thank you!
Same! I just missed a local showing at the TCA in Taos but I would like to see this somehow
@@asecretturning they are showing it again tonight, but I think that's the only other showing.
Well done Robert Martínez. I continue to learn more each day about our rich history. I would be very interested in any information about the Basques influences in New Mexico. Los Vascos! Mucho gente de Nuevo México tienen raíces de Estremadura, Casares de España. Este pueblo está muy cerca de los pueblos de los Vascos. Gracias mi Manito!
Very good , I really enjoyed this its true New Mexicans are so mixed I can trace my Torres history back 1767 then it gets tricky..I'm 42% Spanish and 42% Native American and rest Mediterranean,African. New Mexicans we are like a delicious fruit salad.
Wow you are just like a Mexican
@@marthagonzalez2355 I am but I wasn't born there, New Mexico has always been New Mexico when it belonged to Spain and Mexico and now U.S.
We love to seek joy and hapiness!
Seems to me that you'll need to address evaporation in order to preserve the acequia system (use of vegetation? pipes?). That was supposed to be part of the reason for the San Juan Chama Drinking Water Project a decade ago, to divert surface water to aquifers in order to prevent water resource loss from evaporation...
Thank You 🙏🏽
THank you for hosting and posting this Genizaro lecture.
Looks like she found a third reason to be a victim. Can’t believe these people are teaching our kids ridiculous!
lmao what are you on about
