And because the gift is not honored we now feel the weight of all those that never receive the gift of life.

Thank you . That was one of the best sermons I have heard on this subject. Most male pastors preach on the gay and trans sexual sin and totally leave out their own sexual sin which as you sited is very prevalent in this world today and in the past. A sin most men do not want to be held accountable for and therefore has dominated sin to a whole new level of acceptance.

Hi Ms.Deb, Thanks for taking the time to listen. I confess that I certainly am not above critique. I do make errors as all human beings do. Only God is perfect, and I am very far from perfect. I agree that God's words will always be so vastly greater than my own very limited words. I will join with asking God that I misrepresented the Lord that he will show that to me so that I can make that right. We should always listen to the Word of Jesus more than any human being. But with all humility, I do take the study of the Bible very seriously and have given it a great deal of time. I did listen to the message again for error and I still think that that the Bible does not support that slavery is an ideal that God holds for the reasons I listed. Below is one example of an article that may cite some evidence unto that end. There are many others online or in various books on the topic as well. It my hope that that slavery in our modern world is not something that people should endure. I hope to continue to work with to stop slavery. That was a very feel good sermon (for you and the men in your congregation) ...but I feel until you have a little skin in the game the only message that came across was you gave people what they wanted to hear. The Bible very much condoned slavery by saying slaves obay your masters/man and wife submit to a husband/man. Jesus had skin in the game so he had every right to preach on most subjects Use his words within your sermon instead of your own very limited ones.
