People say the satire is based on the fact that builders are the opposite of this. But I felt like it was more an embellishment of how some builders are blasé about being able to do really hard skilled things. They rarely say they can’t do something.

I know a man who lives right next to a chemical factory, I said to him are you worried about the pollution? “ He said, “ the shit coming out of those two hundred foot chimneys doesn’t fall on my house, it falls on yours” nuff said.
In depth, this is the opposite of what builders usually are... quick, willing, inexpensive, affordable and cheap and cheerful.
And unfortunately you're the exact cliche of a client; expecting the work, cheaply, with a smile, with no roadblocks or unforseen issues. There's gotta be some meeting-in-the-middle, right? "got a job here, client wants it perfect, first time, they want you to smile and nod at them like 'the help' for the duration, and they want you to willingly/happily accept the job at a cheaper rate to make the process inexpensive, notwithstanding material costs, weather, time or skill." And some builders are _unwilling_ to do that? 😮
Well that’s their job. Any other profession if you don’t do the work to the deadline and to perfection then you get the sack.

The thing is, Ben Swain says they're half an hour from Thame Parkway, and Brill is about half an hour from Thame, and Brill did indeed used to have a Metropolitan line station. And I think it's that that this sketch is alluding to. /s
