when you installed the decompression mechanism , i noticed in the video as you were putting the valve cover on, that the weight was swung completely out . however you clearly started it np and it was running great. everything i can find, shows the spring should return the weight to its center most position so it can function correctly. i keep snapping starter chains and have had tons of issues on my zs 212 2v , and ive never been able to get the decompression return spring to work correctly, even after purchasing the upgraded one . i recently bought the daytona 212 head / cylinder, but before i assemble it all, should i expect the weight to be swung out like that , and pay no attention to the springs job of pulling the weight back in when the engine is not running?

It sounds nicer than the newer GTI. Owned two MK4 one was a 12V VR6 the other I miss it to much MK4 R32 😢 lost it to a flood 😢

Is your bike the 2 valve head or 4 valve head version? I have heard that the 4 valve revs higher and gives better topend performance but the 2 valve is better off the bottom and pulls harder on shorter tracks. What is your take on this?
