Beethoven: Piano Sonata Op. 2 No. 3 in C major
Of all the "early" Beethoven sonatas (from op. 2 no. 1 to op. 28), this might be my hardest one. The fourth movement especially is a beast and I really labored over recording that one. I'd be terrified to perform this one live, just no margin for error on the (frequent) exposed staccato passages and other technical intricacies.

I learned this one originally about 3 years ago, in the late months of 2021. Bringing it back was a lot of fun and a great exercise, as it just became easy after a while. I never would've been able to play the first or fourth movements three years ago as I do in this recording.

Concert in March 2023 with the CCA advanced wind ensemble. I absolutely loved the three semesters I had with the ensemble. I played just about anything, from timpani to xylophone to the bass drum to the vibraslap! In this piece (one of my favorites with the ensemble) I had the piano part.

Summer 2022 recital. One of the 10 pieces from my uncle Steve Dorst's piano album "Ein Plein Air." I helped transcribe this set of pieces and create sheet music for his singles, which had previously been nothing more than recordings from 1993.
