That's like saying the theory of gravity tries to explain the human conscience. They are unrelated. What if God created the universe and the first cell, and just allowed it to evolve? That's where religion and evolution work together, although that isn't bent belief. Evolution has nothing to do with the origins of anything except diversification of life.
