I've always wanted to visit his grave. Loved Mister Humphreys as a kid watching the show on PBS.

The late Jean Alexander such a versatile iconic actress from her portrayal as Hilda Ogden in Coronation Street as was her late screen husband Stan Ogden played brilliantly by the late Bernard Youens i believe i have spelt his surname right 👍 also Jean Alexander was brilliant too as Auntie Wainwright in Last of the summer wine 😊

Now with a new lead roof. How much did that cost? Used t be copper, for many years. Bright green! Peregrine Falcons nest on the spire, you can often see them perching and preening on the lower stone pinnacles. Chichester was a Roman town, set out on a grid, north, south, east, west streets. Like York, Oxford, St. Albans. It is quite small, and the Roman city wall still stands , most of it. It's a lovely walk around it. A hidden gem is the beautiful garden around the bishop's residence, just Attached to the Southwest of the cathedral. Chichester is great because everything is built on a human scale with no high rise buildings. It is level, and the centre is mostly a pedestrian precinct with lots of history.
