    I need to figure out what settings on my window unit are best to keep my home cool and my electric bill low. They just raised our electricity bill by 80% and we are looking at 100+ in heat this summer. Has me stressed. I don’t want to spend my savings on the electric bill…

    A/C’s are designed to run all the time. They’re much more efficient running continuously. More energy is wasted every time they start up, that’s where the larger in rush of current is.

      It sounds like at the duct in that room… check to be sure the duct is properly connected and sealed to the air flow vent. If it’s not connected properly, then check to be sure it’s not clogged

      Check your supply plenum and supply ducts for holes or leaks. Make sure you have no leaks and seal your return plenum to assure no air leaks.

    Thank you for making this video. We put 30,000 dollars down on a new Toll Home but have NOT closed yet. They ran the Upstairs and Downstairs Carrier HVAC units without filters for at least four months. The unit SUSPENDED on the Ceiling of the Garage by braces FROZE up and the AIR TECH had to Wet Vac 8 or more gallons of water out and let it dry for 3 days. I videotaped the Drywall and Building Particles COATING the Aluminum Coils and the removal of the water. He was disgusted the builder hadn't put a FILTER upstairs or down. We sent them a letter stating that we wanted the home but feel they should replace the Units before we Close and Clean the DUCTWORK. What is your thoughts on this matter? Would you still by the TOLL home in North Florida? PLEASE PLEASE Respond...I need your expertise!

      Hi Jeannie, so sorry to hear about your situation. We are based in NYC, so your market is not our area of expertise. That said, we would recommend working with a local HVAC professional and possibly a home inspector for their recommendations. They should be guiding you with information on the condition of the HVAC unit and possible damage to the structure.

    Can you please tell me why you would rebuild a wood structure building again after history has shown that they don’t hold up to Hurricanes! Why not out of 💯 percent Concrete? You did what was equivalent to building a wood frame house with a flat roof in Erie Pennsylvania and you will cry when the roof collapses every 6 to 8 years under snow weight! Why?

    • @alexhurley2256
      @alexhurley2256 4 роки тому

      late answer and im sure you've figured it out by now but as it was stated in the beginning of the video, funds were running low from relief efforts. A wooden house though more short term would be way more cost effective and take significantly less time to build.
