I am from Bangladesh and I believe that our main problem is that we forget that we are Muslims first and Bengalis second. We put more priority to our nationality, our cultural identity and cultural values over Islamic teaching and many of the times these cultural values go against the Shariyah. And this problem is everywhere around the world. We confuse Islam with other man-made religions and treat it as just another religion whilst it's the only accepted Deen by Allah, which emcompasses every aspect of life, be it politics, culture, philosophy or social values. Just like Muslims of other parts of earth, we have mostly become non-practicing Muslims. Like our other brothers and sisters, we Bengalis too have been treating Islam as just a religion, just another 'part' of our lives, and not as the entire Way-Of-Life to live by as taught by our Prophet (saw). May Allah guide us towards the true path and save us from going astray.

Why do this nonsense even matter? Islam was and still is complete since the last cermon by Propeht Mohammed and his last will. For example, Osman ibn Affan did something that can get everyone into heaven if Allah pleases, he acted to keep the Holy Quran intact until today and we rarely hear his name mentioned in fatwas but here we are hearing about Malik and whatever their names are as if they invented Islam. I'm tired of this BS. No one believes and no one is truly Muslim until they give what is owed to who they owe it to. Islam is a system of rights and distribution of these rights. Islam is about responsibility and clearing your name before the day of Judgement comes. Islam is never about proclaiming something to be yours when it's not. That's why we never had a strong kingdom since the days of the last Abbasi calipha. If you were there you'd have thought that's Judgement Day some people died from the stink of those horrible days and we never learn to not to willingly dishonor ourselves and keep what belongs to others to ourselves and what belongs to us we give to others! It's an issue of rights and obligations and clearly people do not like this. They like to do as they please and f everything else. This shall not continue a lot longer we are afraid. Soon the remind no one likes shall come inshaAllah.

The majority of Bangladeshis do not have shukur hence this test. When one sins, it does not allow another to sin. A Hindu priest may have mentioned something but I wished that Muslims did not go around vandalising temples or Bangladeshi Hindus. In Islam, there are rules of war and rules of engagement. If you start making your own like the Bangladeshis have then it will fall like a tonne of bricks. Astagfirullah, fix up.
