If this is not on your bucket list, it should be.
Speed Star anyone?
We’ll have one and the group sitting in business wants two of them please.
why would anyone jump out of a perfectly fine airplane?
This is the future of low fare airlines.
@@Finnish_Skydiver :D
DB Cooper would be proud
Okay.. Maybe I have a new bucket list item.
They’re going to do this on a regular basis now that we were used as guinea pigs, so JUST GO SEND IT!!
Gotta love those old allegiant airlines seats
They were so uncomfortable that we decided to leave the flight only 5 minutes after departure.
@@sallaandkarri5241💀
Why did you cutaway? I got to jump the dc9 that Saturday.
Looked like maybe a stepthrough? His rears were wrapped around his fronts
Correct, it was a walk-through. Not us, but someone we jumped with. You might have noticed the all white canopy on that load.
Oh wait we were there Friday so you didn’t see the cutaway. Anyways, he learned not to pack an easily preventable malfunction like that.
How old is this? Did Perris get their DC-9 flying again?
Yeah this is from yesterday. It’s all happening as we speak!
@@Finnish_Skydiver Nice. I never got to jump it before it was grounded.
They finally got it fixed after 16 years. THE REAL JET SET LIFESTYLE IS HAPPENING NOW!!! We got the Economy+ seats, one way ticket, no checked in baggage, and pre-ordered gluten free kosher for our meal selection. The in-flight entertainment and wifi is extra ;)
@@sallaandkarri5241 And you get to skip TSA screening. I wonder how long that will last.
@@Cameraflyer- Takes 5 minutes to get to altitude. Exit at 13,300ft. Shortest flight of our lives.
WOW TWO??!!?

They looked like ant-man and the wasp
I was always to hung over from Saturday night partying at Perris Valley Paracenter, to get up and go jump. I wish would have at least 1 jump from a balloon, and a ramp, and a helicopter, and a HALO, and a . . . . ! The bucket list has buckets!
Hey, this was a really nice vid!
0:05 spraying hand sanitiser on your hands before getting on - ROFL!
Yeah, fun with silly rules.
I am constantly amazed at how poor the communication of most people is - his instructions to her on the rope and when the jump make was full of ambiguity. Also don't wait until the jumper is on the edge before telling them important information, they are thinking of the jump. The jumpers should have cleared all of this up with the man before getting into the basket.
agreed with you on the timing, but I found his instructions clear. If she doesn't keep tension on the rope swing, it'll get ripped out of her hands at the bottom of the swing. We also have no idea if that instruction was given previously - this could've been a reminder after seeing someone before her have this problem (there is another rope swing that's already been used in the shot)
The video has been edited and all the instructions did not make it to the final cut ❤
You do not need that much instruction or planning to figure out how a rope swing works
Nice back flying
great vid! you shot it right time of day!
Night jumps are sick too!
OMFG!
Getting stoked as we speak!

So true my brother... so true.
Seriously, this looks like a low altitude jump to begin with, and she had 6 or 7 seconds of freefall without a canopy over her head. I'm very concerned, especially because she looked like she wasn't stable most of the jump, and they cut the shot before her deployment. She's probably fine, but I'm praying for this ebullient young jumper. I would love to know she's still smiling, what altitude she pulled at, and what altitude she had a canopy. Blue skies, I hope. ...
Hello Bob and thanks for your comment here! To relief your concern we are happy to provide some details about this jump: The exit altitude for this particular skydive was 9500ft, that is relatively typical for the balloon operators in Perris CA. Salla was in freefall for 25-30 seconds and she deployed from a stable position at 3500ft, pulling relatively high so she could reach the grass at the DZ. Salla was stable immediately after reaching terminal velocity which she has no problems doing with her 350+ jumps and 15h+ tunnel. Her AAD was on and she was wearing two ditters, one on each ear. She had a canopy over her head at normal deployment altitude and made it to the grass, packed up and was having coffee at the DZ, while I landed out having waited a minute for her to clear my airspace. The lesson that we learned here is that even when operating with multiple cameras it is vital to maintain visual contact with those exiting before you when jumping from a balloon that regularly operates higher than any other skydive balloon in the world. Thank you for your prayers. She is still smiling and shredding like a ninja! Blue skies to you too, and hope to see you on one of these epic jumps! @@sallaandkarri5241 OMG WE WERE SO WORRIED!!!
@@Finnish_Skydiver Yeah it's the tallest regularly operating balloon in the world. You can do pretty much anything you want out of these. Most small DZ's don't even have planes that go higher.
@@sallaandkarri5241 awesome, I was expecting an hop and pop, and was wondering how high the jump was. although, based on the house sizes you could tell it wasn't at 5000.

Skydive Perris?
The one and only!
I'm in a funny situation. I stopped skydiving 11 years ago and this summer I'm coming back to the sport. My count sat at 980 jumps when I stopped but since I'm out of it for so long I probably might as well be considered a noob again (although with a far faster progression curve compared to someone who never jumped). So when I start again I would reach 1000 after only 20 "noob" jumps. But I don't plan on doing anything special really.
It´s like riding a bicycle!
I keep quitting and getting back into it too. I quit because the sport is too expensive and then I think "Oh I've got a bit of money in my pocket, it wouldn't hurt to spend a day at the DZ" and then I'm drawn in again for a few months until I'm broke once more and decide to quit because it's too expensive xD
There was a couple at Perris, many years ago (late 70s), that always liked jumping NAKED! They "opened" the new pool. A lot of old folks were there that day, and the screeches from the wives, and OOOOGLES from the men was priceless.
Ah, the VAN at Perris.
Aaaahhh!
