Shampoo's english dub voice in the old anime was cute so I have no idea what you are speaking about. The new dub decided not do give her an accent. The japanese actress is clearly making an accent

Both OG and remake have their strengths and weaknesses. The og has lot of filler. The remake has almost no filler and more straight to the point. The thing is sometime the fillers would actually add context and depth to characters and story. One example in the OG where they show Azusa's room and she's greeting all the stuffed animals and toys before going to bed, but this part was absent in the remake. imo this added more context and we get to know in bit more detail kind of person she is.

I think there isn't enough modes, Once you are done with the Story Mode other than fight people online there isn't much to do. You can play offline, You do tournaments but they don't go up to a lot of people. You can make custom battles which can be cool, but I feel like they can easily add a survival mode, where you pick a character and then go through the whole roster. Different tournament participant numbers I think it's currently 3 only fights in an offline tournament, and if you lose you don't have the option to immediately retry it you have to go back and reset up the tourney. I think they should add the option to add more fights to tournaments and a retry function if you lost and also a survival mode would be great, other than custom battles and tourneys for offline all there is, is either just 1v1 the cpu's or watch them 1v1 eachother. and if you're gonna 1v1 the cpu's why not just do a tournament instead?

IMO this a bad take. When he said he didn’t like the previous budokai games, I knew the perspective he was coming with which was just hating on it. To each their own but if you’re complaining about the story here, they have the kakarot game. They made sure that was THE story game for dragon ball even including future gohan story. It’s like comparing digimon survive to digimon cyber sleuth (niche take but if you know you know)

You can turn down the difficulty, my issue with them game that there is no higher difficulty in the campaign lol

I'm trash at the game and I've been able to get to the What-ifs. I don't think the issue is necessarily the difficulty but the fact that you have no indication other than dialog that the time limit is about to happen. You then have to remember which dialog piece means you've missed your target while locked in. You end up just cheezing to complete those objectives in the end.

The video could’ve been better a lot of was just you guys not liking the story or the game. You guys could’ve gone more depth like how insta sparking is to broken in ranked matches or make super counter better or get rid of them, Also the game is not (BROKEN) Unbalanced doesn’t mean broken. The game as 182 characters story mode, custom battles ect, video wasn’t bad but I think both of you didn’t know much about the game to criticize it. you could’ve also talked about custom battles how that could’ve been better. So many things. But keep up the good work

The AI is the smallest issue in this game. Damn I wouldn’t even call it an issue. Wait till you try online and get abused with cheese/broken skills. Just spend 30 minutes in training. It’s an arena fighter, that’s what you’re supposed to do 😂

Chihiro is a pretty good character for how early the series is but i can see your point as well although i disagree.

Chihiro has to grow into that character. He reminds of Cloud from FF7

Im the exact opposite when it comes to Chihiro. I think he is a brilliant character and one of my favorites. Probably my favorite aspect of him is his compassion. Going out of his way of saving Char and killing Sojo even if it means sacrifing his father's blade, caring about Hakuri and even dueling Tenri rather than letting him blow up because he fights for his dad, just like him. Also even in chapter one, you can sorta tell he never is cut out for this revenge mission. The fact that he keeps a scar to remind himself tells you that he is afraid of letting go of his pain. I love how be builds sort of a family as the chapters pass.

Dying rural countryside is not just japanese phenomenon but all over the world we deal with the emotion of abandoned yet once lived in places. The threat of earthquakes has been increasing as well in many places that were calm before. It's funnier than the other two films with the chair running around and all the interactions. My favorite is "Weathering with you" because I like the weather and characters interactions, the climax scene is amazing and the permanent consequences of their decision

D.Gray-man does look generic at first but honestly it uses less cliché tropes than a lot of the recent mangas, or at least has an interesting take on it. Like the curse eye can be cliché but it’s used in a way it explains Allen character and why he cares so much about akumas (with other things in his past). Whereas nowadays good protagonists are good just because, ready to risk their life without any reason. Same with the millennium earl, he seems like the typical villain like a Musan or a Sukuna but much later in the manga you understand how complex and mysterious this character really is. Really love how the complexity of the work is revealed little by little as Allen Walker discover more about this world, his role as an exorcist, his own past, and how everything isn’t as good or as bad as we think (black order or the Noahs)…

i think this show came out in such a good time when there's way too many Isekai anime with harems and an MC with no character. I let out such a positive exasperation when I encountered this anime, it's a genuine fun fantasy anime with a detailed world building that doesn't use cheap anime tropes to attract viewership.

Thanks for the review, I recently started re-reading it this summer together with a friend who hasn’t read it, its super fun. We’ve gotten to chap 80 or so and I really appreciate it so far, like I remember it being good but especially the art is far better than I thought (probably because I was a kid and reading was about Speed). I’ve read bits and pieces through the years but completely stopped around 2018 or so and there is so much that I can’t remember from those early arcs. When recommending it to my friend after reading the first chapter I told him its like if Bleach kept a consistent dark tone like the Hollow scenes with Ichigos mother the whole way through but Bleach was always lighter with the tone, like the upgraded?hollows look kinda silly until they just become people while the akuma go for more body horror. It should also be noted that d gray man has essentially 0 fanservice, even with a certain female character doing flips in a miniskirt!

I liked the premise and combat of Yuragi So No Yuuna San. It was around the same time One Punch Man got popular so the main character could exercise spirits with one punch. The fan service made it hard to talk about the series with people. Nathan

Funnily enough I started this the other day and I'm kind of obsessed. Though I do agree - first couple of episodes fantastic, it's felt a little lacking ever since. I also think the MC shouldn't have suddenly started looking really buff. I prefer when he looks like a weakling but happens to be insaaaaanely strong.
