Thanks. I don't listen much to the organ music of Olivier Messiaen its so 'modern' (1934!) and as such a 'shock' to my ears, but by taking the time to do so and reading about what he was thinking when he composed the piece I come to appreciate it. Its dramatic and certainly would have more impact being present in that church with the full aural effect of that very great organ you play.

Well played, thanks! Only pity is the audio quality, but nevertheless a stunning listening experience.

Sehr schön gespielt! Im Präludium haben wir allerdings eine "conclusio ex abrupto" am Schluss, ein kurzer Schlussakkord ohne Fermate, der die plötzliche Stille nach dem Akkord als "Überraschung" für den Hörer einplant (so etwa auch in BWV 547, 564 (Fuge), 532 (Fuge), 543 (Fuge). Der abrupte Schluss wird hier sogar durch die Tirata (32-tel-Lauf) unmittelbar vorher noch verstärkt. Der Schlussakkord im Präludium könnte also etwas kürzer sein ;)
