I had to find out that small UA-cam channels are disadvantaged when it comes to the video codec. There are two video codes used by UA-cam: - vp09 (prioritizes quality over performance) - avc1 (prioritizes performance over quality) As a small UA-cam channel, if I upload a video at 1080p60, I get the avc1 codec when my video plays. The result is artifacts that reduce the image quality enormously. However, if I, as a small UA-cam channel, upload a video at 1440p60, then this video is played with the vp09 codec. The result is a sharp image that matches the original quality of the video. It doesn't matter that the original video was recorded at 1080p, you just need to upscale it to 1440p - for example with a video editing program. Note: If you want sharp images in your uploaded video, then upload the video at 1440p, then you will get the better video codec vp09!
