One of my favourite architects ever
Graduates are about 50/50 so it will naturally adjust over time.
Not on Poland
It's an incredible presentation. If only we could see the images longer.
.
He sounds like he needs a therapy
This is so rich history of someone who values people and culture. I appreciate sharing your story Omar Ghandi on a great platform, Architects not Architecture.
Amin Taha is one of the greatest architects of our time! This lecture shows you one of many reasons why.
Mind blowing. Will definitely take in the advice as I navigate my architectural practice
Thank you for sharing your inspiring journey! Your commitment to creativity, community, and employee well-being truly sets a remarkable example.
Just absolutely a beautiful insight! Thank you Omar for this inspiration.
designing base on fantasies are the worst
tons of inspirations what a cool dude he is
Chronically challenged 😂
you are the most emotional architect I have met and this love can be seen in your works
sooooo what you are saying is that your buildings are so flimsy they will be gone as if they were never there, not even a trace for the future of humanity ............ weak human
It’s better, when you miss the point, to ask questions, so that you can better understand, rather than making statements that show that you aren’t willing to listen and learn.
Wonderful 👍
Lou Kahn and Holl have always been my inspiration for light!...How refreshing Steven is compared to some of the new wave of overt practitioners. I wish I was as astute and avoided conscription as an 18year old...I don't feel I ever caught up with my contemporaries...The Hadid pics are wonderful.
É clara a obsessão quase pastiche de Mies na obra de Souto Moura é clara. A secura e falta de humanidade também.
Can someone please explain 19:17
Love this Citt. Lyndon took us through many layers of his life and all his influences, etc. Very interesting origins story thank you for providing this to another creative individual that influences our world.
And their pay scale is low 😢
❤
F.L. Wright would be saddened by architecture schools nowadays.😢
Well, Christine Lemaitre mentions it more than once in the lecture/interview. She herself is not an architect but a civil engineer ... but as she points out interdisciplinarity is of utmost importance for tackling the challenges that lie before us.
Great speech
Habe genau die gleiche Situation mit der Schule. Fühle mich absolut fehl am Platz.
Always good to not judge a book by its cover... His starkitect image blurred my own vision of Daniel..this was a delightful video.
It was a pleasure being here in person. Thank you ANA for having Bjarke as a guest speaker! I look forward to when you all are in New York again.
Thank you, that is very kind of you!
As an Architectural student in Cape Town the Jewish kids were the most ambitious. They could not help themselves. Whether by natural talent, or deceptive 'borrowing' from famous trendy architects they worked their way up. Then they got green cards and emigrated to heaven. Strangely despite some Jewish ancestors I felt no need to follow.
the real promised land...
Inspiring speech of Bjarke. The interviewer is asking very imprecise and student-based questions.
What a load of nonsense. The market sets your rate.
@@okahhj55 it works for them quite well.
@@architectsnotarchitecture not architects in general. A very select group, that’s it.
@@okahhj55 We need to set a fee that allows us to work properly - not only in architecture but in any profession. That is what he is talking about. Mat Hinds and his partner charge a certain amount to be able to do their work.
Rising talent !
Bjarke needs to bring back that shaggy wet hair look
If you apply Darwin to AI (the true one, not the chatgpt bot) you understand that the 'iterations' used by BIG to translate concepts into form and function will become rubbish very soon. You cant add art to architecture anymore, there is a gap. Architecture must be beautyfull to increase the level. And its beauty must be an instant one, like a tree, a cloud, a girl. An outstanding concept on paper it's a great piece of art to be exposed in a museum but its a poor piece of architecture. The art of moving light around a space is something that we need to learn and understand. I wish AI will find the way. Ancient Greeks used to think geometry as a point moving throught a path: nobody can undestand acropolis of athens today becouse we live in a different 4D space. We can study it, memorize, analyze and try to interpret, but we cant understand.
Great talk about how our upbringing and exposure influences the diverse ways we can approach our work.
Este vídeo está a ser manipulado no Brasil para venda de pomada .
😇
Architecture is dead. Many architects shift carriers because its not cool anymore
You have a choice, don’t kill your self.
@@pechadehdont ask me maybe its you. What I mean was you cant remove the fact that only at the top are earning big if you are at the bottom im sorry. No matter if you are working in triple A firm they are all the same.
go live in switzerland

please come up with more interesting question for the conservation. At lease prepare something related to his presentation instead of awkward and random questions about his business…😂 47:32
The business side continues to be a topic in this profession. 🥲
at 19:05, how do you spell his professors name?
Jens Thomas Arnfred :)
BIG
this guy is in marketing not architecture
He does both, at excellence level. See his work 😉
He is good in communication. That is a good skill.
YES! EXACTLY!!
Every great leader has to be in marketing in addition to their specific field, and often due to their multitude if skills are less specialized in what others perceive should be their focus. Big ideas concerns more with bringing many talents together rather than building out of your own personal skills only.
You’re ignorant

Mario Botta my favorite Architect among all - his Single Family houses among my favorites especially House at Ligornetto 1975-76, among his commercial projects the Watari-Um in Tokyo 1985-1990.
RESPEKT für Lars K. sehr authentisch fühle mich Seelenverwandt
Very insightful talk. I am watching it as part of my Decolonial Feminist Thought literature at Linköping University in Sweden. Thank you Sandi
Tank you for making this lecture available for everyone. ❤🙏 a little bit of, hopefully constructive criticism - it would be much easier to follow if the pictures that were in the presentation appear more often/for a longer period of time. Nonetheless, a super interesting lecture!
We will note that feedback. Thank you!
super Vortrag, ich habe viel gelernt
