I really enjoy these movies about stoicism. I'm not a natural stoic. but Im learning a lot about ho to deal with disrespect from others. As a woman who's in a male-dominated industry, who's not, nor will ever be, eye-candy. who's highly competent who REFUSES to stroke the giant yet oh-so-fragi 14:40 l egos. I'm no stranger to disrespect. It does help to not focus on that but to focus on how I can continue to learn grow and hone my craft. What I still struggle with is having to pretend like something doesn't bother me when it does. Having to pretend like it doesn't bother me when, in real time, it makes me angry

Like they use to say ,family looks only good on the picture, stay away from disrespected family, i do some i dont talk for years some occasional on the phone never go to their houses, and we will never go .

I normally get mad but step back, think about what I said and did cause others to disrespect me. Sometimes maybe just my attitude (not what I said or act) that is not really respectful. I just think if I respect people, people should respect me, but if someone doesn’t like my face, fine, I don’t like yours either.
