Years ago a family turned on me at church. Long story short they used deception and tried to set me up to get money, despite the fact that I did nothing wrong. That was one of the deepest hurts I've ever experienced. But sometimes there are wolves in different congregations, and there is no opportunity to repair the damage when they do not live by the "do unto others" admonition. I try to forgive, but its hard sometimes when those actions are intentional.

I wish you had shown what features are in it. How they are useful or not useful. Things like that... I'll go Google it, though, and see if it's practical! ❤

My husband is a pastor. Anyone who stays in church will be hurt at some point. We all will face hurt. We have one child and have faced criticism. We have fertility issues and have no control. People can say things intentionally or unintentionally. I really want Christians to realize the church is full of imperfect people. Stay in church. So many walk away from church and do " home church ". Christians, please dont walk away from church due to hurt. ❤

I'm going through a tough time mentally, trying to see if I'm capable of truly putting God first over my entire life, and through this struggle I've realized I've stopped praying/talking to God which has caused me to be depressed & ashamed if I should even try uttering anything to Him again, thus further distancing me from God. I sought out videos regarding spiritual laziness and came across this one. My eyes watered when you said you'd be our cheerleader lol It's hard because I hope one day I truly can put God before myself and earthly things but thank you for your tips 💕

I went to a church on Easter Sunday with my 2 little children, I was 20. After the service a young lady walked up to me and said very accusingly "Where's your husband." I told her, "In the hospital." Which he was. You think I ever went back there?

This is the closest I ever felt someone understanding how I feel. I'm 40 am I checked out of church for the most part 10 years ago. Please help me. I replay what a lady in the ministry said to me that as I described to my pastor as 'it broke my faith'. My very close friend I brought to the church years prior had just married a woman in the church. I was single at the time and was actually his best man at the wedding. They got married within a year seemingly because she got pregnant. Days after the wedding she was crying/complaining to the pastor that he doesn't want to serve God anymore. I was very open about my desire to get married to a christian woman, start a family and work towards being a preacher. When this woman in the ministry realized what was happening she came to me privately and said "if you didn't bring him here that would have been you". Insinuating that by helping my friend and bringing him to the church he took what God intended for me. I can't seem to get past this stumbling block. The more I try to live for God the angrier I get because it feels all emotionally teethered together. To make matters worst I told my pastor about it and he went to my friend and told him I want his wife. And when I eventually went to my friend and opened up about it he called me a liar and jealous. As a result I started gave up on God and church even to the point of blaming God. I didn't deserve that and getting deeply offended like that is not reaping what I've sown but getting cursed for serving God. Thanks for reading.

Sadly I’m experiencing this now. I did a testimony on facebook to try to win some souls for jesus and on that sunday at church the pastor mocked my testimony. I’m noticing that I feel out of place in church and some of the members are staring at me like why are you here.

I been Mia for a minute. I was guilty of that waking up and picking up my phone.This was needed I wrote down these tips and will be following suit. Started over a journey to grow spiritually and draw nearer to God. Today was my first 12 hour fast in a long time it was needed I will admit it was a challenge especially when I started feeling hungry but I prayed earnestly and I accomplished. I know my prayers are already answered I just have to be patient and stay rooted and wait on Him. It will be done in His own time.
