My 17 year old just became a pilot down here in Ft Wayne, Smith Field. He flies DA20’s and DA40’s. He’s going to fly me up to Michigan soon! Flying is awesome!!!

Great videos. I was just up at Mackinac Island. We made the hop to St Ignace to fuel up before heading back to Chicago. I was looking at the a/fd for Mackinac county before my flight and it said the radio call was st. Ignace. I heard others calling it Mackinac county. I made my radio call Mackinac county st Ignace. I wanted the Cessna in the pattern aware I was inbound.

Looked like a nice view over the lake. Hope you're enjoying the new job.

I have the same aircraft and I have low seat time in it, maybe one day I could head out to your location and go on a cross country flight with you to get more comfortable in mine. just a thought. Keep up the good work, you guys keep me excited about flying!

How do you find these spots? I’m worried about stuffing items back of the chute housing as the rudder/elevator cables are exposed back there.

I feel like you're both cheating, wearing shoes. 1:25 lul, so the way you brace your hand, is how I did it during training with an RV12iS that had the G3x panel. The problem was that just above the G3x was the ELT button. Discovered that after landing when the flight school owner met us on the ground. heh. just had to share. 3:35 bridge is so cool. 15:40 "the FUCK is this?" .. we'd get along well.

Love your videos! The videography and scenic views are amazing. Please consider making a video to describe the planning that goes into your trips. I'm curious about how you pick your destinations, plan for stops and fuel, and pack all your gear into an experimental aircraft without having to resort to half fuel tanks for W&B.

CTLSi owner here. Were you doing a soft field takeoff on that grass and holding the stick all the way back? I never took off from grass, is that a very different feeling from a normal runway?

I grew up in Lake Leelanau and Leland but I never once visited Torch Lake. I've always heard it's beautiful, but that's what tourists say about everything up there. It looks like I might have to actually go now that I live in Ohio lol.
