    That color wheel is completely useless. You have to meticulously dial each bulb in like a damn safe cracker to get them to match. They need presets.

    It's weird that it says 3 times on and off to reset in the user manual! This worked easily and perfectly. Thanks!!!

    I have just bought one. I have connected 2 PC's and neither see's each other. I was hoping to see PC1 on PC2 or visa versa. I also connected it up to a external SSD, and nothing, I'm going to trash it now. A waste of money.

    The wing nuts can be pulled out and adjusted with spring action. And turned into a desired position. I have a reytric v mount battery it won’t fit on the fotga mount. I think people have complained certain batteries won’t fit. I have used the dtap simultaneous with the other ports with no issues.

    Great video. Thank you for the information. I noticed you set up the bulb in the Home app. You mentioned that one needs to use the Meross app for firmware updates. Is it possible to use the Meross app for updates but never create an account with Meross? I have way too many accounts for smart home devices. Thank you.

    Did not connect to home kit but was able to connect it via app & smarthings. Move the lamp or router away, it will automatically jump to 2.4Ghz, then the install went smoothly

    Hi. Can you suggest how the light bulb behaves after cutting off and returning the power / turning off and turning on the switch on the wall? Does it stay off or does it turn on and shine with normal light? Regards.

    Do you think this would work for a 10 month old?

    • @jdtreviews7955
      @jdtreviews7955 2 роки тому

      Absolutely. As long as your child is within the recommended weight limit, it should work just fine. Also depends on your comfort level if you have to carry your child for a long period of time or not. All depends on how big they are and how heavy they are.

    • @jdtreviews7955
      @jdtreviews7955 2 роки тому

      Hi there, usually that issue is solved by physically disconnecting the device from the power source as there can still be a small bit of energy going through it. You should leave it disconnected for a few minutes to ensure everything resets. You can also try to reset your smart home hub as that sometimes solves the issue as well. Other than that, make sure the device is actually disconnected from the app.

    I would like to see you do this with multiple LogiTech c920 webcams I have five LogiTech c920 webcams and it seems like every time I try to plug in more than two only two of them show up the third one will not show up only if I deactivate one that I'm currently using will the third one finally show up and that's in the Logitech webcam software that you can download and also it happens with OBS but I figured if I had a device similar to this that maybe it might help boost the signal and separate the signal or something it is very hard to find anything about this on UA-cam

    • @jdtreviews7955
      @jdtreviews7955 2 роки тому

      Thanks for the suggestion! Its limited to the bandwidth and speeds of USB 2.0 so that would be the only limiting factor. If the webcams are higher resolution, I could see a scenario where there is just too much data passing through the USB 2.0 protocol for it to handle. Not likely but it's possible. I also don't own that many webcams to try it out with so take that with a grain of salt.

      @@jdtreviews7955 I wonder if USB 3.0 because I have like six USB 3.0 ports on the back and only USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 in the front and so I was putting USB 2.0 with the two cameras and USB 3.0 with the third camera maybe if I just have USB 3.0 for all three of those cameras then the bandwidth would be higher and it might work better... Theoretically speaking. Do you think maybe?

    How do I set up a 2.4ghz???? Everyone glosses over this step but it’s the most difficult one. I only have 5ghz. Thanks

    • @jdtreviews7955
      @jdtreviews7955 2 роки тому

      I have both 2.4ghz and 5ghz signals in my home and the bulbs were smart enough to connect to the 2.4 only. If you don’t see 2.4, I would suggest checking your router settings to see if you can enable it as Almost all routers will support 2.4ghz at a minimum. If you actually only have a 5ghz signal for som reason, the bulb likely wont be able to connect properly.

    Very informative video. Your background is simple yet effective, I like that. Just try to adjust your reading source. Your looking at it at about a 45 degree angle kinda throws of the presentation.

    Overall, a very good video. I am glad to see someone new on the block bringing even more videos related to HomeKit. Just a couple of things I would like to point out. You didn't mention how it communicates with the home hub. I am assuming since it is Meross, it is WiFi. But the other options are Bluetooth and Thread. The lighting around your face is very dark. Please work on your lighting as this will greatly enhance your videos. Good luck with your channel and I look forward to seeing even more videos from you in the future.

    • @jdtreviews7955

      Thank you very much for the feedback! Obviously new at this and want to get better over time! I am working on the lighting and will make progress in future videos. As for how the lights communicate with the hub (Apple TV), it is in fact wifi. I apologize for the omission on my part and I will note it for the future. Thank you again for the feedback!

      It gets warm but not anywhere close to being hot and certainly not hot like an incandescent bulb would get. I also don’t believe the housing is glass either which makes it more resistant to bumps and drops.
