I still remember it as the worst performance I have ever seen. Unfortunately I was sitting in the middle of a row and I couldn't leave the theater.

years later I am thinking about the performance I saw in the Riga Opera. This is the best opera I have ever been to.

Mam radę do twórców ProForma. Wystawiając (w październiku 2013) w Poznaniu spektakl oparty na operze "Parsifal" R. Wagnera powinniście zadbać o wyjaśnienie publiczności używanej symboliki oraz, co ważne, sensu waszej nietypowej inscenizacji. Można to zrobić w formie krótkiego, np. 10 minutowego wstępu, który przed przedstawieniem wygłosi prelegent. Samo wydrukowanie programu niewiele da, gdyż część z publiczności tego nie kupi a cześć przeczyta dopiero w domu. Do widzenia w Poznaniu. :)

Jedna z tych inscenizacji, w której znajomość symboliki jest niezbędna do jakiegokolwiek zrozumienia tego, co się dzieje na scenie. O pełnym zrozumieniu nawet nie ma co marzyć bez rozmów z twórcami. Powyższa "zajawka" ma nas zachęcić. Cóż... Dobrze, że chociaż jest trochę tekstu w tzw. opisie (po angielsku). Stąd wiemy, że temat krąży wokół fobii i lęków Hansa Christiana Andersena (tak, tak, tego znanego bajkopisarza). Grupa ProForma ma w Poznaniu 18.X.2013 premierę opery "Parsifal" R. Wagnera.

It's funny, because when I listen to this album [without having seen any video], the imagery my brain makes is beautiful. But...this...I'll stick with my imagination.

one of the best operas ive seen. i saw their company for a tour of their workshop in denmark, they go for the simple and the Artuad style were it goes for audio and visual stimuli than lines and stage directions. i feel honoured to have met the artistic director and understand more about my profession. everyone should see this the first opportunity they, get the dvd, go to Denmark and see a show. just see it

So glad to see you have a youtube channel. Years and years ago (maybe 1990?), I went to Edinburgh Festival and saw a piece of yours in an art museum. We stood on different levels of the museum and looked down onto the performance. The perspective of looking down at the floor seemed like watching the performers fall from the sky. It was beautiful. Do you have any idea what piece that might have been? I still think about it over 20 years later.

Πήγα να το δω στην Αθήνα πριν 2 χρόνια. Εναλλακτικό για το μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό του κοινού που πήγε "κακώς" να το παρακολουθήσει, αφού δεν είχε το σεβασμό να το δεχτεί σαν εναλλακτικό. Προσωπικά, τρελάθηκα. Πολύ ενδιαφέρον για εμένα...τουλάχιστον!

I watched this piece in my performance studies at uni, and I love it! There is so much symbolism, and the use of the stage, actors, movement and multimedia simultaneously is fascinating. Perfect example of Parataxis. Absolutely love it.
