Yes, the population has massively been transformed in the last 100 years. It was liberated in 1941 and lost in 1944. The original population is Karelian, but the Russians have replaced them with their own, and deported people from other republics like Ukraine.

This is propaganda and abuse of history. When fascists are called "liberators from Stalinist terror", and in the comments there is full support for these same fascists. Maybe then you will call the Second World War "liberation from the Jews"? Or would you call Germany's march on Poland and France liberation? All those who support the fascists shown in the video and dream of a new "liberation" are biomusors, unworthy even to be killed by a Soviet soldier-liberator. The Soviet Union had at least 600,000 reasons to destroy Finland - that's how many people died in Leningrad from hunger, which was besieged, including by the Finnish military. But the Soviet Union treated Finland very humanely. And these people are still talking about the Stalinist terror, during which from 1921 to 1953, only 800 thousand people were sentenced to death, of which only a small part were innocently convicted, and most of them were spies, robbers, murderers and rapists. They probably should have been released by fins in Petrozavodsk? Then congratulations, you are not just a fascist, but also a cover for bandits. And to all those who talk about the "liberation of Petrozavodsk" - I advise you to read about the Finnish concentration camps, about the Finnish government's ties with Hitler's ideas and why Finland only recently removed the swastika from aviation and where it came from in Finland. So, if Petrozavodsk was liberated, it was only from people who were driven into Finnish concentration camps.
