How do you become more comfortable, confident, and proficient flying in actual IMC? You get with your instructor and fly in actual IMC! Warmer temps and rain made for a great instrument training day. This is a time lapse of a departure from Roanoke to an RNAV 13 (with a 40 kt crosswind!) into Blacksburg followed by the LDA 6 back into Roanoke.

      He was a CFI candidate, and as part of training, they transition to the right seat. This was part of our spin training lesson.

    Whilst height appears good to start with, did they ever climb to recovery height, or just keep loosing height? Also, if out in the wilds, that radio was too loud. Interesting though.
