Terry Thomas is one of the most talented and funniest actors in British history. He didn't often do stand up jokes but here you can see in this rare clip just how good he was. #icon #funny #actor #comedian #joke #filmstar #legends #terry-thomas
Brilliant!
Terry Thomas the legend, the bounder.... brilliant. So sad that his death was a total tragedy.
👍👍👍👍
I say old boy ...hard cheese 😊😊😊😊😊
Too Many Crooks & School for Scoundrels are two of the best ever movies that i have seen with Terry Thomas in. Two absolute classics and this joke was simple yet very very funny and brilliantly executed. R.I.P TT
Silly joke even the upper class twits know a budgie needs a chef.
If you are an Englishman you may want tonic with your gin but in Scotland the effect is available from Irn Bru.
If I had milk it would be coming out of my nose....
😮😮😮
He should have bought him a honey ring. 😋
True legend how it all ended was scandalous
I do wish I had been alive in the 1950s
Hilarious. Terry Thomas was a splendid risque uncle to me, growing up in the fifties. Side-splitting, 'though I didn't understand at the time. Nowadays comedic actors (and actresses) use vulgarity, coarse language, titillation ... and lubritious innuendo dramatically or humorously, ad infinitum. Standard English is dead. The species on the way out. ☘👿
Rubbish joke!
classic
loffin
Did you ever hear of the failed sequel to dad's army? It was called sticks out half a mile
Absolute shower. Brilliant 😅
Love him, love him, love him. One of the best. So grateful he was part of my younger years. Terry and others made our society happy and full of laughter which is why us true Brits got through hard times after the wwll. It's in our DNA and something us old enough can tap into. We will find it again. All our kids should be shown. When they're older they'll understand. RIP Terry Love you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Terry Thomas was a legend and it's a total tragedy how he died.
He was a genius!❤
I think this gag was originally written in latin. But quite a jolly japester. 🙂
What an absolute shower !
reminiscent of python
Great joke, great comedian, but not the greatest joke ever. By a country mile. Fantastic chap, though
Not a genius. Just s bit funny quite often
Surely there's a better clip than this!
Tea and cream tea buns
Terry and Leslie Phillips two of the best and most iconic actors the UK ever produced, never to be forgotten.
Why add iconic? Overused, now meaningless.😊
@@rudolphguarnacci197 Just like legendry which is defiantly over used, how ever it is still used by many, Perhaps if you lived when these actors where in there prime you may understand, especially if you are British. 😘😘
@@johnfisher697 A word used by eveeyone, all the time renders it meaningless.
@@rudolphguarnacci197 I think you mean everyone which is used all the time but under your surmise means that it is meaningless. Since my reply to your comment I have received two more likes, so I must have said something that resonates to the people reading this thread.
Miss you very much thank you for making millions of people around the world very. I pray that you rest in eternal peace.🙏🕉
He's Right. I Always drink Gordons Gin and India Tonic. It subdues my brain worms.
Ah, the inspiration for Dick Dastardly! Drat, and double drat! 🤣
The man was a demmed rotter and an absolute cad. P.S. T-T was actually born in Finchley and his accent was arduously acquired. You can can hear a little bit of his original accent.
Brilliantly told.
He was great. What a terrible end he had.
"Go, before I strike you!"
He's hyphenated, actually. Obviously had a few!
Richard Briers(the good life) said terry thomas is his cousin. They were close cousins. He said the family didnt talk like that but terry did. He even spoke like that on and off camera.
I say what an absolute sharr 😄👍
Is this Sir Mortimer Wheeler?
Sir Percy Ware-Armitage.........never to be forgotten by this Australian. " Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines"........unsurpassed. Les Griffiths
'Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies'.
He had no successor in films that I can think of, indicative of his uniqueness as a cinematic character type. Once gone, the actor's "Terry Thomas" persona that he epitomized so well, disappeared entirely from the world's movie screens.
If you think that joke was I feel sorry for you, you must lead a very sad life😢
Not forgotten by a lot of us!
A great Actor. RIP TERRY
Bob Newhart used this same joke. I don't know who had priority.
School For Scoundrels (1960). TT - Excellent film & performance as Raymond Delauney.
One if Britains greatest Treasures .RIP
My friend put the mirror in and her budgie won’t stop talking. Chirping, actually.
My Dad was a black cab driver in the '60's. Terry Thomas had a terrible reputation for hailing a black cab to take him home, pretending on arrival that his wallet was inside his house. He'd then disappear into the house, never to come out again. Word went round, and few cabbies would stop for him.
That humour is too British for me.
