Hi David I have my mags done by Rudy Adrain in Manitobia he does great work he might have the parts I guess you you have been watching ebay ? Depending on where you are I am in Ontario there are different people who always seem to have parts engines I think the crank guard was a reproduction . Best of luck Mike

Thanks Eric if it was plain aluminum it had the Clarke name cast in with raised letters if sold by Massey Harris it was smooth and painted red ,I have both Cheers Mike

@@uxboat Very interesting Mike, I had no idea Massey Harris had any association with the small engine industry! That is awesome! I do know that Massey Harris built hit and miss engines.

@@ericcoffedgp40 Yes the last model was a horizontal air cooled ,in the beginning MH had other companies build their engine then after Deyo macy a factory in toronto made Type 1 and 2 ,I had one of each last water cooled were made by Cushman I believe then came the smaller air cooled engines .Cheers Mike

Hi BBB, work is going well I had 4 new tubes put in and the calcium drained to save the rims finally located a proper gas tank tank and bracket and have it installed now .In spring when it warms up I intend to place a Gibson decal on the fuel tank , the motor had a little rattle and I managed to buy a new connecting rod for it at fair price . Work is basically done now just going to enjoy it and hope the engine shows re open in the spring . Let me know when you video is .Cheers Mike

@@uxboat how do I go about getting a hold of you for that info? I'm getting a model M 1.5hp next week and I'd like the ability to make it hit and miss once I get it up and running. I like that it's reversible too.

@@DrYosh2 Hi ,I used the mounting holes for the Wico EK magneto to bolt up a home made bracket that slid over the magneto shaft this is where I mounted the home made latch up arm . On the replacement exhaust push rod I placed a latch block for the arm to catch .Hope that helps .It was returned to regular mode later .Cheers Mike

@@uxboat I'll have to visualize it once I get mine. I'll most likely be making some UA-cam videos of the process of getting it running and whatever restoration I do to it. May leave it rusty. It's patina.

Thanks ShopdogSam , I watched all your McCormick videos and saw your conversion and a other one by Mr. McTavish his was a 3 hp so for fun I tried one ,it was a little crude but proved it could work now back to original . Great little engines Cheers Mike
