What Makes You A Man? Escaping the Boyhood Trap and Becoming A Man
Переглядів 1944 місяці тому
When does a boy become a man? A big flaw in our culture today, is that after puberty (around 15-17 years old), boys become men biologically, but most are not ready mentally because they are stuck in a social system that fosters interaction with immature peers, hooked on video games, pornography, and social media. All these social elements can suppress men from becoming a man mentally. In this v...

I agree. Keeping yourself pure can keep you out of so many troubles and regrets that come with being promiscuous like veneral diseases, unwanted pregnancy, poverty, etc. It can also lead to the health and well-being of our society. Purity is definitely an important topic that should be taught to our children. Parents are either passively or actively forming those habits of either purity or impurity into their children. At the same time, we can't be insentive and unsympathetic to the situation and mistakes and weaknesses of others. Life is hard, and many people didn't have the guidance of their parents. Purity alone shouldnt be what someone looks for but also other important factors like their character (other habits).

Well, its good you know that your rotten. That's the first step towards repentance. "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:8-9)

I appreciate your perspective, but I find that viewpoint to be quite limiting and harmful. Everyone has their own journey, and a person's worth isn't determined by their sexual history. It's important to respect and value people for who they are as individuals, not for their perceived purity. It's especially hurtful for rape victims. The "purity" of a women isn't her worth

Hello, thank you for your comment! I personally know victims of rape. I 100% sympathize with them and have seen God bring peace and healing into their lives. The purpose of this video is to encourage young men and women who are tempted by the present promiscuity culture to keep themselves pure for marriage, which is the will of God (1 Thessalonians 4:3). Also, this video is a call for those who are "shacking up" to repent according to scripture (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, 1 Corinthians 7:1-2, 2 Timothy 2:22, Hebrews 13:4). I hope this brings you further clarification of the intent of this video. Kind regards, Ken.

@@Coh750 Yes rape is extremely harmful and someone needs to find healing after being raped. But have you ever considered why Rape is harmful? Because our sexuality actually very much defines who we are. Guarding our sexual lives, for the day in which we can be united to a wife or husband is very important. It's a very beautiful thing when two people have kept themselves for each other, and are united in one under these circumstances. I don't know who you are, but if you have not, or are promoting experimenting outside of marriage, you need to repent. Secondly I would like to tell you that God can redeem you from these ways, and can make your heart pure. There is nothing that even comes close to experiencing restoration in your relationship with God.

@@jeremiahvermont7333 Rape is hurtful because of psychological trauma, physical injury, and a lot of other several reasons. Im not promoting anything, im just saying the comparaison with the cookie is harmul for a lot of people. I need to also add that i do not belive in God. Im not saying that the idea of preservation is bad. Im only pointing out how that comparaison of the cookie can be harmful. The idea of irreversability, that a cookie cannot come back to its original form, implies that a person who has had sexual experiences is permanently damaged or diminished. This is a deeply stigmatizing and false notion that can lead to feeling of shame, worthlessness, and hopelessness. This comparaison reinforce the harmful belief that a person value is tied to their sexual history. ive heard similar analogy before, like with a piece of paper that cannot be smoothed out again or others similar. all im saying is that the comparaison is not the best way to encourage people to keep themself for their futur spouse, simply by promothing your religious values regarding sex and mariage, allowing individuals to make informed choices that align with their beliefs. I would actualy be glad to learn more about this belief and all the goods it can bring in a mariage, i hope my commentary did not bother too mutch i do love the message simply not the comparaison!

Thanks for your comment! Have you listened to the whole video? I did provide the solution. Although it is great for men to be physically active, manhood is not dependent on that. The solution is simple. To summarize, parents need to prepare their boys minds for manhood and men need to repent from childish ways and serve God. My hat was given to me by my wife, she loves it on me and I’m happy to please her. I hope this can be an encouragement for you. Kind regards!

How that eventually the wife will lose respect for the husband because he is the one that supposed to provide, lead, and take care of the home.
