I have my first wheel coming tomorrow and some additional supplies over the weekend. I am excited to give this a try!
Lots of help thank you 😊
How much pressure should I be applying to lift the walls. Thanks
What kind of clay are you using?
This is a great video, I have watched it several times. Why have you stopped posting new videos?. You are a fantastic teacher.
How can i get the engine for production and how to get the clay
Super helpful video and very beginner... Thank you. 😅I will watch again and again and again.
Your tutorials were SO helpful! I really liked that you gave examples of how to "fix" mistakes as well! And your approach is so kind and encouraging. Thank you ☺
Whyyyy you only have 2 videos!! I love theeeeeemmmmm and your voice is so sweet.
The woman made the analogy of us being children kidnapped from our mother, it's more accurately like a crackhead parent selling their child, then as you're an adult they want you to pay your way back into their house.
You have the perfect guide approach to 'teaching' - really remarkable and so thankful for your generous and calm approach. Learned SO much~
I’d recommend getting a teacher with around 40 years under there belt if you starting out. Don’t pickup the bad habits of people still learning. I would recommend Simon Leech or Vaughn Smith. Excellent potters that I have learned loads from.
why 40 years?
So helpful! Thank you!
Can you make a video on how to pull up walls? How to make a vase or cup ?
Learn the left handed pull. It's done in the first pull up
Thank you! Very helpful
So helpful! Thank you 🙏
I really love your video but on this 4:33 i have to tell you that Youre doing IT wrong. Dont push the clay stright Down but ať an angle
Excellent video, I can't wait to apply what I learned in your video!
I still dont get how the clay just looks like it moves however you want when you apply pressure to it. In my classes i cant get the clay to move, i feel like im pushing and squeezing with all my force and its doesnt respond and i just get muck and slag all over me. I cant even set a base and cone it up and down
Great explanations! Continue to good job :)
This video was SUPER helpful, thank you! I really appreciate all the, "Many mistakes beginners make" bits. They were exactly the mistakes I was doing, and hadn't realized it. I've watched a lot of pottery videos, and I think most of them make certain assumptions that beginners know certain things . . . Great video!
Thanks so much this was very helpful, and I love how you stated the most common mistakes that beginners make and how to fix them! Again, thanks a lot! I will use this advice and steps to help me make a little pot for my grandma, for her birthday!
Good work explainîng centering but the sponge is not needed .
There are so many wrong things in that video. You are in an early intermediate level and it really shows. That would be Great but when you choose to teach others be careful what you teach because if a beginner learns the wrong way then one can never learn properly.
Always something to learn from others. Get off your high horse
I disagree eya. She did well and I appreciate her tutelage.
It would be better to point out what things are wrong than to just say there are so many things wrong. Anyone can just walk over and say oh there's so many things wrong here, and that is basically saying nothing. You can be wrong about what you think she got wrong, but since you are unwilling to put yourself out for judgment like she is, your words are kind of pointless.
Ok, Karen.
@@AstarTiamat Does any of you practice ceramics for more than, let's say, 3 years? Including this young lady that made this video. I just pointed out the obvious. That you don't pretend to teach others when it is you who neads teaching still. And on the contrary I happen to be a ceramics teacher. So I feel I pretty much know what I am talking about. I agree there are lots of things to learn from everyone but there are lots and lots of videos in this platform that are so much better. And if one can not take an honest truth, then maybe they should consider not making their work available for judging.
Would love more videos. Your technique is so simplified and your hints. Looking for more
I cant wait to see more videos! You're such an awesome teacher!
Amazing video! You are a really good teacher! ❤
This is perfect! Thank you, the instructions are so well done.
Great instructions and I thank you so very much! Wish you were my neighbor so I could get your advice in person 😊
You have successfully identified every single thing I've been doing wrong! Thank You... I will watch this seventeen more times to be sure I have it down... cannot wait for my next class!
😂😂😂❤
sameeee
This is great! Great tutorial! Thank you.
You are super great at explaining for beginners! I will use your method in centering using both hands and hopefully have seen how to pull it up without leaving a thick base! You are a really good instructional teacher for beginners! I would love to see what other videos you have! Thank you so much!
Hope you make more videos, you are great at teaching :)
Thank you so much for sharing your video, you explain so well and into detail. I learned so much by watching your video. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I hope you make more videos. This was helpful!
One of the best instructional videos I've seen, good to highlight the things people do wrong, clear and concise.
Did u say grog. What’s that
Thank you. This has helped me a lot as I am starting to get into pottery
How many pounds of clay did you use? I very much liked your demonstration.
Excellent video with precise explanations for every step!
Didnt really discuss anchoring the elbows to the hips or the tray, and why we do this
Please do more videos. Great instruction.
Thanks, great video
ALWAYS. MORE. WATER.
Nope LOL. Learn to throw as dry as possible water in the bottom of the pot will ruin the pot.water melts the clay. I potted for a living for 45 years
That was a grest demonstration. Thank you.
What type of sponge are you using in your video and where could I find it for purchase?
Awaiting your next tutorial. You've got one steady hand, which is really great to see !
Thanks for the lesson! Where did you find your taco sponge? I only find the round yellow ones.
'promosm'
so far from what ive seen others give good info but yours has been the most thorough in a few aspects. Thank you and great work!
