Once upon a time….nope.
No fairy tales here, just a bunch of off-roading, surfing, shooting, environmental, slightly fanatic, definitely crazy, self-motivated, adventure seekers from around the world who want to create something we can be proud to stamp our name into.
Most of us are from the automotive world in our past lives, and we owners have been renting RV’s out of our facility since 2014. Disgusted with the poor product offering and lack of quality in most RV/trailer products, we are pioneering some new trailers for you!
RKS Off-road is based out of sweet Arcadia, California. We are family owned with a bunch of die hards helping us launch. We incorporated on a sunny day in October 2019, operating in the facility of our other business that rents out RV's. You will love our first product, and more to come!

Put the kitchen on a slide out for the outside or have a kitchen delete option w outside fold down tables. I hate cooking inside.
Did RKS go out of business?
Hi Bart, not out of business but out for funding to launch Motive. In the meantime we continue to test the prototype in different environments, and considering the build of custom trailers to keep operations going. Once we do get funded, the current prototype will have undergone a full year of testing in hot and cold weather. We have a very comprehensive list of improvements we will implement at next prototype build :).

This video reminded me of Top Gear...I was secretly hoping that he was going to drive off the trail on the way back and set up camp in the blizzard. I was about to make some popcorn and see how the camping went! These look like fun trailers by the way.

Great product. May want to look at a special bracket to protect the lower shock mount and the U-bolts for the springs if this unit is designed to go off road. Thanks for the upload

Simple and elegant solution. That coupled with what I can only guess would be a Victron mppt charge controller is a perfect addition to this trailer.

I assume those are Lippert Solid Steps. If so I have seen many complaints about those messing with the seal on bottom of the door. Maybe you have addressed this in your installation. They also look heavy. Is it not cost effective to build your own? If they are Lippert i am surprised you would buy anything from them.

Love the induction stove - so much better than propane - and the pantry - love that pantry too. Lighter weight a big bonus as well. Ditto with solar - the more the better - it’s not a priority with some trailers but big priority for me. Very thoughtful heat management system - never heard of that before. Low refrigerator is a bit of a pain for a tall guy but you can’t have everything. We don’t need a toy hauler but I do like the idea of lowering the back for ventilation and visuals. Still I would love to see a non toy hauler version. Saw it at the Expo. Looked really solid and immaculately designed. Missed the bathroom - very important for the ladies - but good in-depth interview.
I hope they make one for a couple without the toy hauler part, just two dogs and two people like the concept of a premium off-road trailer that’s not a teardrop. I can’t get my wife to go on a teardrop so we use a micro mini from Winnebago not as Offroad as I wanted but it what I got.

38:33 Everything on this trailer seems to be high quality. I intend on being one of your very first customers. However, PLEASE, Give us a QUALITY screen door. The one shown with sliding plastic is junk. I have experience with that exact model. Maybe something with more aluminum structure in it….Something so a larger dog can’t push through… And a Quality entry door too. 🙏🏼 God speed. I am anxiously waiting…

Travis and Elizabeth are so awesome. They spent a long time talking about the features in this trailer and showed us ever detail to this extremely well built trailer. We will be on the list very soon.
I'm strongly considering the single axle version, the M19. 3700lbs dry. Waiting on pricing sheets from a couple of dealers.

@@bartman1857 I was traveling. I did get a price sheet from Princess Craft. I need to follow up with ROA. PC price is $80k for base M19. Upgrades: HD (dual axle): $10k Safe: $1500 Convection Microwave: $1200 Upgrade Solar (400 to 800): $2500 Upgrade Batts (200 to 480): $6000 Winter Package: $3500 Disc Brakes: $2000 (included on HD) So $105k all in. I don't need the HD. Having the extra solar and batteries would be amazing for off grid AC.

@@bartman1857 From this video, I'm pretty confident it's the same 6k solid axle. With the 20" clearance, that seems like a good solution.

@homesteadhale This was the trailer I was talking about!! I went to their offroad show and took a peek inside, SOOOO MUCH SPACE!! We can fit the Can-Am nicely in there plus the bathroom was probably one of the best I seen out there with the adjustable height shower head. Finally Frank would be able to take a decent shower 😆

Nice, First comment. 😉 I really like this trailer, I’ve been following since the beginning of this company. I really want this trailer to fit my needs. The first “blueprints” I saw were impressive. I truly hope the production model is impressive. PLEASE listen to the wants and needs of the consumers. I hope the “R” value is quality, we like cold weather. God Speed👍🏼

The MOTIVE M19 (toy hauler) will be officially launched & introduced to the market this weekend at the CA Power Sports Expo in Pomona. Pictures & videos will be posted after that. I really like this...a full bathroom is a huge deal for my wife and kids. Is it possible to incorporate an AC unit?
Yes, there is a 12v portable ac Unit stock with the trailer. You can see it at 0:12 seconds
For people with kids, do the kids and adults all sleep on the same mattress? I only ask because it states it sleeps four adults, and I only saw the one sleeping area.

RKS Purpose is designed for Overlanding and Off-Road specifically, though if you’re looking for more headroom, we have news coming :)

Why don’t you have a proper walkthrough video to shoe all of the off road trailer? Having no only a the kitchen video doesn’t sell me. Do like all the other manufacturers and do a complete walk around.

That kitchen has a lot of wasted space that could have been used for more cabinets :(
