That was really funny! The best part was that Barry Manilow was the reason that bands like, say, Depeche Mode never made it out of underground clubs till 1998. 🤣🤣🤣
Yep !! Thanks for watching
My first thought with the audio was that he had a broke mic - then i realized it was the bass 😅
WOW! So many words mispronounced. You really don't know much about synths at all. Sounds like a high school essay.
Thanks for watching
I love Synthesziers
Bernie--not Benny--Worrell. Keyboardist for Parliament and Funkadelic, I've heard that he was the second person to purchase the Minimoog. Rick Wakeman of Yes was the first. Worrell's Minimoog bassline on "Flashlight" is legendary; Bootsy Collins, the regular bass player, played the drums on that track instead. Anyway, Parliament was quiet an eclectic outfit: George Clinton's background was in doo-wop, Bootsy Collins was the bassist for James Brown, and Berni Worrell was classically trained (he studied at The Julliard School and received his degree from The New England Conservatory of Music).
Interesting . Thanks for the background info. And thanks for watching
@@swagnjazzy Here is a clip of Bernie Worrell playing around at MoogFest in May, 2016. Around the 1:32 mark he starts playing the bass line to "Flashlight." Sadly, Bernie would pass away from cancer a little over a month after this was filmed. He is sorely missed. ua-cam.com/video/RQtjnZNZFWw/v-deo.html
@@mournblade1066 That was awesome. Bernie was a bad boy !!!! Thanks for sharing
Sine waves are waveforms that have no overtones. They do not occur in nature. Sawtooth waveforms have a "buzzy" quality to them. Squarewave waveforms have a "hollow" sound to them, like flutes or other woodwind instruments. Those are the three basic waveforms used in early synthesizers. Triangle waveforms are another one from the early days.
Your right. I did see some mentioned of triangle wave forms. Thanks for bringing it up and watching
Oscillators: The "c" is silent.
Got it. Thanks for watching.
The single most Recognizable use of the theramine is probably good vibrations by the beach boys. I think the Moog was introduced to the mainstream, mostly by the release of switched on Bach by Walter Carlos, who later became Wendy Carlos. But that's another story.
Thanks for watching. And your absolutely right about Bach by Walter Carlos
Actually…. The Beach boys didn’t use an actual theremin…. They used a device called the ‘electro theremin’ or Tannerin…. It sounded like a theremin but was played with a slider that had the notes underneath it so it was easier to track perfect notes rather than wave your hands and hope for the best! The modern equivalent today is the therevox! These instruments have more in common with the ondes martonet……
Nice video, now you need a part two. From the late 70's to today. Music Mann Stingray is one of the most impactful basses since the P bass. Active pickups and Active EQs changed the game.
Thanks for watching. I will consider that part 2. And I will check out Mann Stingray.
Even with all the down falls of rock, metal, and others I still see some that fight back
Crap
Wtf...?
Noise!
Regarding six string basses, Fender made the Bass VI from the early sixties. Also used by the Beatles on their late recordings. George and John were mainly guitar players and the Fender model made the bass more accessible, with standard tuning one octave down. I think Danelectro made a six string even before this.
Thanks for sharing. I learned something new. And thanks for watching.
I can’t stand ur sentences bro
I don't understand your writing.
thank you very cool! i never thought about how the bass guitar is overwhelmingly responsible for funk music.
Thanks for watching and your comment
The most underrated instrument ever. I Love the pacing it's just a nice and calm perfect for such a smooth instrument. ( The only thing I could say is the music could be slightly too loud) Love the vid keep it going, definitely got a new fan.
Thanks for watching and your comment
I love his music, I've been a fan for a long time.❤
Love this

You can pass away whenever God calls you home for no reason at all, any age. When He calls, we must answer. Peace.
