Balti Wedding Song - A Celebration of Joy and Tradition in the Himalayas - TGHE | UNESCO
A beautiful moment from a traditional Balti wedding in the village of Hardass, nestled in the heart of the Himalayas. This song, filled with joy and hope, was performed by local musicians as part of a celebration by the riverside. The ghazals, a poetic and musical tradition, echo through the mountains, creating a serene and magical atmosphere.
This video is part of the Great Himalayan Exploration, a CSR project supported by Royal Enfield and UNESCO, where we work to document and preserve the Intangible Cultural Heritages of Ladakh. Witness the rich cultural practices of the Balti people as we explore their unique traditions and history. It was an honor to be part of this journey to help ensure these invaluable cultural treasures are preserved for future generations.
Forgive me for the loss of focus, I was shooting with just the one camera and honeslty, video is not my strong point.
