Today is World Parkinson’s day, and we at Parkinson’s Africa want to take this opportunity to recognise and celebrate the carers, family, friends, loved ones and support systems of people affected or impacted by Parkinson’s disease. We also take this opportunity to thank our own partners and friends who have supported us over the years - these are our guys! Today, we ask you to share this post tagging your guys (or post a picture of you with them and tag us), telling them how much you value and appreciate them.
Thank you @parkinsonsafrica

Hello, keep up the good work and encouragement
Thank you, we will.
I like your explanation
Glad to hear that
An excellent video raising awareness about the prevalence of Parkinson's in Africa and the desperate need for acceptance and resources.
Thank you
An excellent documentary - well done. Unfortunately a reality for those of us living in Africa with Parkinson’s disease. In my experience it is always better not to judge those who don’t understand the disease but rather to ask ourselves why they are reacting in the way they are. Rather become a teacher than pass judgment if at all possible. Thanks again for an excellent commentary.
Well done on this beautiful video #OmatolaThomas and your team! Keep up the good work raising awareness for #parkinsonsAfrica I hope people sponsor this project after seeing this video. I have a lot of respect for these people who are willing to be open about their disease, be filmed and the teacher/ preacher man who looks like he is organising the groups and supporting his community. I live in Peru and here they have some access to drugs but the stigma is very strong and getting people to speak out which means getting them services even harder as it is a hidden need. I imagine you have this in Africa too.
this video is what is needed in Africa. To dispel the community attitudes of curses or witchcraft will make the lives of these people, who often cannot afford medication, easier to negotiate. Thank you for making this
Thanks for the video! It would be good to see a trial of Costantini’s High Dose Thiamine (B1) protocol as it seems to be working for a lot of people to stop the progression of the disease and it’s quite cheap to follow. There is an fb group for people following it.
great! We share in Belgium!
Thanks for sharing!!
Amiable Lady, Omotola Thomas, this is really wonderful! Keep up the good work, heaven will continually back you up!
