I just recently replaced my ignition coil due to a blue arc and (popping sound) from the wire to the metal part of ignition coil. Im assuming the wire is bad but not certain. What do you think it is?

Is it easier to get to the Crank position sensor from under the truck if i put it up on ramps? Looks like a real PITA from the top if its behind the engine and distrubutor. Ive got a 98 1500 with 5.2 that has sat for 4 years. Im getting a crank no start situiation right now and researching the fix. My first guess is Crank Position Sensor. I have no spark from the coil/ verified that already. I can also hear the fuel pump come on when I turn the key to on position before trying to crank it. IF I understand correctly, the ASD relay and coil are supposed to get a "pulsed" ground connection to enable spark and fuel injection. That pulsed timing comes from the Crank Position Sensor im guessing. Update.....today i worked on it again, and now im not hearing the fuel pump "hum" when I turn the key to on position, but I can feel the fuel pump relay click. So there is a step backwards....think I lost the fuel pump to bad fuel now?

I'm grateful for your insights in solving this issue, cause I had this happen today as I have the same vehicle but it's a 4x4. Same motor, I've been replacing parts on it and the normal wear an tear through the years it's upto 171,000

Thanks for the video. My 1994 454 suddenly started flooding, my shop claimed the temp sensor was the problem but couldn't fix it, even with a new part. I couldn't get a code from the check engine bypass trick. It's undriveable so I'll try changing one thing at a time.

I want to do a 5.9 swap into my 01 1500 single cab originally it’s a 3.9 v6 but i live in california is there a legal way to do this swap i heard that if the swapped motor is the same year or newer i can get it to pass smog legally anybody know a little more

I have a 3.9 magnum 98 ram automatic 42re , I want to put a 5.9 magnum in it, will I need different moutns, harness , pcm, will the auto transmission bolt up to it and is there anything I got to change with the 42re to bolt to the 5.9

Not bad getting to the crank position sensor if you take a couple minutes to remove the inner fender. Quicker.

The motor will still start if you’re CPS

I wanna swap a 5.9 gas into my truck that has a 5.2 is it to much hassle ?

Have power on orange wire have power on middle plug at fire wall for 15 sec. Pump may run for weeks then not run for weeks no rhyme or reason for it to stop or start pump is 3 yrs old

So I have a 93 k1500 350 tbi and it constantly floods, I can’t seem to figure out what’s wrong with it, I changed the map sensor, distributor cap, spark plugs and wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuses and anything that I can think of, if anyone can point me towards what to look for next that would greatly be appreciated as i need my truck and it hasn’t been going for a few months now

Guy i bought it off of did the distributor, plugs and cables I’ve done tbi rebuild, injectors, iac & temp sensor getting ready for a fuel pump but i might have to get these ground cables a look, 1989 chevy scottsdale 2500 5.7 140,000 miles starts and runs but stalls randomly, loss of power also randomly, even randomly stalls after idling a couple minutes sometimes

I’ve got a 99 5.9 mag. Won’t get spark after a car wash or if it rains….. ignition coil was in bad condition, replaced still no spark. I’ve got fuel. Was raining all day yesterday no dice, woke up this morning , heavy fog and light mist and it fired right up as it should. Possible moisture getting into disty terminals ?

I’ve got a 1993 TBI Chevy K1500 it cranks and fires up but after a couple seconds it dies. I can get it to stay running but it doesn’t run well. I’ve replaced the fuel filter, air idle control, throttle body, map sensor, engine coolant temp sensor, cap and rotor, ignition coil and ignition module, egr valve and egr solenoid. And it still is doing the same thing. Any guesses?

My gmc has 2 relays one under hood and one on side of battery
