ToxicTunes is a collection of music, Mute In E is newly written/recorded music, and including music of previous bands through the years. The music varies in energetic, aggressive hard rock to metal and punk. The MIE as a side project songs began in 2021 with music written for the MIE moniker/brand/band to write/record any ideas and styles. I'm a professional guitar player/songwriter, singing started out of necessity while writing and recording songs in the "lockdown" I was writing a lot of songs, started writing lyrics and singing on them, I have always been in bands with lead vocalists (preferred), still would like to work with a professional, veteran musicians/bands. New recorded music always being added. Likes and/or subscribing is very much appreciated, subscribing gains access to more songs/music. New music is always in the horizon (and performing). Enjoy, thanks, Cheers!

Buena Toñita
Great hard rock sound. What can you tell us about the band?
Eclectic rock band formed in 06 in SJ CA. Played live a couple years, a couple lineup/changes. Recorded a 11 song demo in final months, disband a few months an live shows after. Inactive since.
Yo me and my roommate got a question for ya, is the SONG called Shine and your band name is Black Label OR is the song called Black Label and your band name is Shine?
See above comment.
Great powerhouse track. Nice fat juicy sound. More please!
We did mixing and extra tracking over 3 days, completed a final 10 song tracking in 4 days total, one day of live tracking. No final mixes uploaded, yet.
Great sound. To me it has a bit of an early seventies vibe, just punchy hard rock, nothing showy or over the top. Special shout out to the guitar work.
Thanks. Only 2 chords song. We mixed 3 days, final mixes not uploaded. 2 chords.
Fantastic lo-fi footage. These guys are giving it everything. What a performance!
100% hard rock. Huge amount of attitude. This band always delivers.
Great piece of thrash!
👍
Good to see new content from this channel. Another great rock tune. Guitar work has a sixties vibe, reminiscent of Jeff Beck and maybe a bit of Leslie West. Fantastic sound.
Thank you. This song sparked another idea/riffs.
Thats a damn good random youtube recommendation
Much appreciated. Thank you. Cheers!
Superb hard rock/punk. Shows that when this music is done properly it is as good as anything out there. Fantastic guitar work, great sneer in the vocals.
👍
Superb riff. Cool punk, but has an interesting early seventies element to it. Great stuff.
Thanks, was aiming for hybrid, melodic w/heavy. 70's
Great punk, plenty of snap and snarl. Fantastic photos too.
What a sensational performance! The lo-fi just enhances the appeal. Smacks you right between the eyes! Fantastic guitar work and the singer is a powerful frontman.
Fantastic driving rock. Love the first guitar solo - a taste of psych. Second solo is powerhouse. Great snarling vocals too.
Much appreciated, thanks and Cheers!
Shades of the Angels, to my ears. Good hard rock sound. Great drumming and the guitar work is fantastic. Drives hard and never lets up. Just the way we like it!
Thank you. The Angels are one of the many great Oz rock bands, humbled and flattered to get referenced to them, a first as well. Cheers!! .
This sounds like Dementia . . .🤘
Im getting a Dead Boys feel. 👍
Great stuff here. OG punk sound, vocalist kind of reminds me of GG allins first songs
Thank you. Yes, the Jabbers had great songs. I'm still green in the vocals, but put my all into whatever do. Writing music and guitar playing/performing goes back much longer. Thanks again, Cheers!
Fantastic punk sound, reminiscent of the Saints. Great guitar solo. Very angry, puts it right in the original punk ethos. Punk's not dead when people are still producing music as good as this.
Underrated
Thank you. This song is a part of my many roots throughout decades. Energetic with impact and melody is how/why I started writing and playing, so this is wheelhouse nature. The Saints reference is a high praise as well as an inspirational band, they played what they wanted and I believe some to many people appreciate that. That's why I'm still around, enjoy and will continue writing and playing music. Cheers!
Hard, pulsating rock. This is pushing to the extreme. It feels as though the song is about to go over the edge but the intensity just keeps ramping up. There is a ton of passion and emotion in this track. The best yet from MIE!
Thanks for compliment. It was a lot of work to produce/mix this one.The master sounds different so I am posting a 2nd vid to check SQ. This one was a blast to play. Cheers!!
High intensity hard rock. Ferocious and intense. If this doesn't move you then you are probably dead. Great stuff.
Thank you. This song is a blast and a blast to play too.
Another great high-energy track. Fantastic guitar playing.
Thanks for the like and compliment, glad enjoyed, This one was a blast playing. Cheers!
Great track, fantastic guitar work, rhythm and lead. Cool images too, reminiscent of the first Fleetwood Mac album cover.
Thanks and much appreciated. Had the idea for this weeks ago, when I had a window of a few hrs I just went for it, written mostly when recording, I had 2 riffs (the opening and one other) the rest were just live bc knowing wasn't going to be doing vox, and he lead was live with thr feel and to be the voice. A simple track to mix/eq an only 4 of 23 tracks were used. I feel (as I hear/recorded it) it worked even with very little time put into the whole. Cheers!.
Fierce, no compromises, the music on this channel just gets better. Brutal, yet commercial, thunderous, yet melodic. You can't resist sophisticated hard rock.
Thank you for compliment. I didn't write this one, but I like the song . I'm happy to hear you like the music on the channel, it's non compromising straight up rock (fast, heavy, dynamics) with edge, attack and attention to melody.
If listen close you hear "buried me" in between the "marry me", also "I wasn't mad" and "I didn't too" meaning no vendetta, it's more like "framed" people/someone, was/were. A play on words to a double edged sword one gets struck with. Did this song before back in 08.So it isn't a new/current situation either, it's one that has happened to many. And a song i liked to play with a band that I was in for a year about 15 years ago. I state this bc too many read into things. Nonetheless a good song from back in the day done again tho this time I am singing, I'm just finding a voice, and found one about a year ago, now I am a vocalist too and only out of necessity and that applies to all the MIE songs. Cheers! The master could've been hotter but a piece of equipment is broke/down.
Great! Snarling punk, served up just the way we like it. Punk can be easy to play but you have to have the right attitude, feel, heart, otherwise it's just generic. But this has all of that in spades. You can tell straight away that this is music that means it; no BS, no posing, just real punk, that never went away.
Glad you enjoy, and I agree it's easy to tell if something is real or fake/generic. I like to deliver it real in all the styles/stuff I write/come up with. That's what has always kept me writing music, and playing. This one is for those who think something is about them personally, an the lyrics sum it all up "if the shoe/cap fits" then that's all there is to it and ones thoughts just happen to fit the majority of moronic society, not about a personal statement at all (aside from the J.S. play on words for a point) just in general, an if.... Oh well,.. that was the point of the song...Ha, an there are alot! Thanks an Cheers!
I feel for those offended, There is degrading offending music ya'll can listen to, this is not that, This is a topic of morals, to explain there is bad and good in people. I'm not a preacher or a singer but subject happens to us all.
nice i like it
Thanks, appreciated. If I were in a band situation, (I've always been in bands), the song would have had a build up. Tho I've had to do all on my own and and writing and playing guitar, has been my thing, so putting time into using recording tech like DAW's (which I don't, I use a console) to do more, I'd rather have a band and record the way I know how. So I do what I am able and with a band would be able to capture more. This is what I can do with the situation in currently. I like it it but more can be done. Cheers!
Great driving metal track. The vocals are very expressive vocals too. Superb riffing and solo as always. The song is a combination of menacing and affirming. A really interesting, exciting track.
Thank you and glad you enjoy the track. It had a more than technical difficulties during recording this one. One big one, my cd rom drive stopped working so had to transfer the song to a micro sd card to upload to pc to make vid and pot here. It's odd because the CD version of the song sounds much fuller. dense, louder and less treble. The SQ is much better on the CD Idk why, and when record it again w/o the many distractions, the recording/mixing (and transfer) would be more like how the other MIE songs went down and SQ. Cheers!
Another great track. Blistering and snarling, but smooth and lean. A lot of hard rock can sound thick and gluggy but this has a beautiful sound mix. Love the new photographs, too.
Thank you for the great compliment BFW was a Rock band to the extreme, still always with the verse/ choures hooks. Like Buddy Holly on steroids. A song like Time waits for no One is 50's The Penguins played extreme fast and loud with a Nirvana like middle eight then straight to C. Berry / J.Thunders lead. We really mixed many styles, genres and decades with high maximum volume. This like a pop radio song with a twist in a sense. Never wew we short of and, hooks and power.
Grindline the band brought me here
Right on! they bring it. Dig.
BFW's music is uniformly excellent and this track is, to my ears, the best one yet. Melodically strong, superb tone and with high quality production. I can hear something of Tommy Ramone in the drumming. Does not sound dated at all - the best hard rock never does.
This was our it's "our time" song for the time it came out 1994. We went we did good, held our own, I suppose we were to rebel as opposed to ass kissers. Oh the stories of what the labels wanted to do with the band, look, sound changes, ect sign here. No thanks. All good, bringing it still decades after. Free will saved my soul an more.
I'm happy to have this band's entire output posted here. They remind me of Radio Birdman on this track, and that's a big compliment.
Birdman is a cool compliment. This song was recorded at The Master Control in N.Hollywood, At the time of band had a mgt deal tho disband shortly after.
Very good, straightforward hard rock. Powers right into you, no frills, honest, no fooling around. Love the band logo and the photos and promo material. Deserves to be better known.
Agree, very straight forward song/music, never understood the "Punk" label, musically they were just a hard driving rock band.
BFW's material never gets old. They had great melodic sense; attitude you can dance to.
That is one of the elements that gives a band a not dated sound, that and not following trends through the years. Cheers!
Yes, more in your face and punchy. Sounds a bit more crazy. Awesome!
Thanks for the comment and compliment. I remember this was a 12 bar jam to start off a rehearsal that got words thrown in to keep all on cues it was a first get together, we did a few songs in the short time played together an had been in a hiatus doing other things, some good songs did happen and came about in a few weeks.
good song may i ask what band is this?
If this doesn't get your blood pumping you are probably dead and just haven't noticed. Fantastic!
Thank you! This is an older song, was recorded live at a practice audition. Sounded good an left it as is. Tho I posted the wrong video for it, now it's do I replace it and if I do these comments and any info goes with it. I don't know yet, ??
Is this the same band Mute in E that had an album called A Potpourri of Disonance?
Lots of punk snarl and speed. More superb guitar work. Short and sweet.
Thanks, very cool. Enjoy!
Fantastic. Reggae and ska can be really fierce and this fits the bill perfectly. Superb Clash vibe, especially the vocals!
Glad you enjoy, yes they can. Just happens was feeling it, only song I've done in that style and captured on a first attempt with 2 individuals which made a first for all. Thank you!.
A modern tune that masters the genre totally. Could have been recorded in 1962. Captures the feel and looseness of those instrumentals. At the same time it has that later sixties improvised feel. Cool.
It was an out nowhere, a question if could play surf music, said sure, rolled tape and this was it. I feel the unknown conjured the "spirit of" you mention. Knowing 60's surf music though never attempted in playing.. Thanks!
i think i just struck gold, thank you for being in my reccomended
Thank you for your much appreciated comment, I'm stoked to hear that you enjoy the music. Cheers!.
Cool metal sound without too much sludge. Has that melodic character that makes it stand out. Great vocals.
Thank you. I used 2 diff amps and a secret weapon vintage 69 stop box for the squelch effect of solo and used lower on one of the gtr trks. Will use it again on a song down the line.
Superb punk sound. Like the other poster said, this sounds less like a debut than a well-tuned professional band. Love the cassette too - that DIY ethos was fantastic; they were good times.
Thank you. This band was a mix of so many likes/styles. They didn't know how to market us, we liked punk tho lyrically/looks were diff and it was 1990/91. Oh the interviews....we'd just say we play maximum R'n'R, we liked everything from Thin Lizzy, Ramones, Maiden, Celtic Frost, Motorhead, Chuck Berry, Saints. many to say the least, Crazy to think this is 32yrs old.
Another great hard rock track. The guitarist does seem to be on another level - your playing really makes these songs. Cool doesn't come easy but you make it happen.
Glad to hear you like it, thank you for the high compliment, very much appreciated. Thank you. Rock on!
Great sound! Wouldn't think that'd be a debut!
Thanks for the great compliment!
Attitude in spades with the right amount of snarl in the vocals. Crisp, concise solo. Good choice of photos too. The endings of these songs have been perfect. Great performance.
Thank you. Yeah this one was about a mix of topics lyrically, musically it's your basic Chuck Berry 12 bar RnR with some stops and one other little move (2) to the main chord/key "A" Rock n Roll is definitely not about conforming (of course it can be many other things and I do explore them) to anything, so rebellious theme in this one. All is good.
I can hear the Ramones in here and that ain't no bad thing. A touch of 60s garage too. Really tasty track.
Right on, stoked to hear that you hear the different styles I blend for a signature but personalized sound of many greats that have driven me to carry rock w/o being generic or one dimensional. I enjoy writing as much as playing (singing is still new for me). Thanks for compliment of high order. rock on! '
Cool and punky. Excellent thumbnail too!
Thank you. On this track it's short and to the point ala Johnny Thunders rock n roll style. Glad you like and have others like it yet to be posted and others that are different but still R'n'R. !
