How Anna established strong school relationships that grew her horn studio exponentially.
In this episode, we explore how Anna grew her horn studio from just two inconsistent students and a part-time library job to a thriving business. Starting with only 1-2 hours of teaching per week and $250/month, Anna leveraged strong relationships with local schools, which led to steady growth. Over eight months, she expanded to 32 students, added group classes and sectionals, and increased her teaching time to 22 hours per week. Now, Anna earns $4,830 monthly from private lessons alone (with $6,830 including groups and sectionals) and enjoys eight weeks off each year-demonstrating the powerful impact of school connections in building a sustainable studio.

"should I work more hours or just quit" I remember having the opposite problem. I realized one day that the only way to make more income was to literally clone myself as a teacher, or figure out a different way to make an impact. I chose the latter but I imagine online courses etc. or group lessons would be another option.

The group classes & asynchronous programs Mandy runs have been a really helpful way to scale her time! There are so many possibilities (hiring, courses, etc.) but scaling does take work. You have your hands full, Sean! Redirecting to other projects makes so much sense. ☺

I've been taking lessons from Claire for five years. Claire has inspired me to be my best self that I can be, and as I've grown, I've started to let my intuition guide me more. I just really enjoyed how you talked about the mindset you need to have when creating any form of art. We need to listen to our hearts not our head. Just really profound and eye opening. Thank you so much for this amazing podcast!
