Our primary function is to facilitate skills development by establishing learning programmes such as learnerships, skills programmes, internships and other strategic learning initiatives. This is done through the disbursement of grants to employers and training providers. We are also tasked with monitoring the quality of occupation-based training within the services sector scope as delegated by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO).
The Services SETA bridges the gap between the formal education and training system and the workplace by facilitating and funding learning programmes that build skills-set required by industries (the world of work). To achieve this, the Services SETA works in partnership with public and private learning institutions accredited to deliver the training on its behalf.

This was posted 1year ago, why am i the 1st to comment?? Whether we like it or not we are all going to die. All 8billion pple alive today will mostly all be dead by 2073.. what are yoll afraid of..😂😂😂 Anyway, great interview and all panelists, wonderful, well spoken all of u.. The funeral Business is very challenging, has its own rewards and the dark side of it.. From fancy cars, to the scent of decaying human remains, sad stories of families left in utter loneliness and hopelessness after the funerals, cultural differences and family disputes.
7 months later, I am here too😂

Hi Andile, I hope you were happy that the other programme director also participate. The role of the SETAs is significant in this regard. SETAs has to work with industries to determine skills needed by the industry and fund learning programmes aligned to those skills. SETAs also offer learnerships, skills programmes, internships and even bursaries amongst other programmes.
