I think without any discribing what you do, is not enough. For example, how many n.m. did you take for thigtening of screws?
When did you disconnect the ball joint or is that broken ?
no it not broken just cut it out sorry
Deja vu.
I have got to change my driveshaft on Vauxhall Combo so it's has been very informative watching your video but like the other comment made previous it would be good to be talked through what you are doing other than that great video
Thank You man!!!
How to remove fog Light plastic cover ? Does IT have any screws or just pull IT out
I just done my astra j 1.6 rocker cover and when reconnecting the breather pipe back to the cover I pushed the pipe on first and then added the clip, did I mess up and need to redo it or it will it be ok?
That feckin music kills me, but bless u sir for making this video lol
Good job
Do you have to remove oil and coolant for this job please.
No mate
nice work
Cheers thank you
Hi and thanks for the video...how May I clean the internal side of the cover?if I will find it dirty of oil?which product for clean?
Try engine gunk leave it to soak a couple of hour or you could soak it in petrol hope that helps
Diesel any good im doing this tomorrow but only got diesel. @@carhomerepair8651
What size is the torx nut please 🙏 1.8sri pissing 😑
Very good simple video.
Good video. I have a combo c and every time I pull away slight a get a continuous clunking noise. I have checked the mounts and they are fine. Do you thinks it’s the drive shaft?
at guess id say so
how you charge for gasket Vauxhall Astra Energy 2013
Do you have to torque it at the end?
The flipping of the screen was a bit confusing. If you stand in front of it the air filter is on the left. Battery on the right. Somehow it changed a few times during this video ?
had me confused for a bit, as well!
Image is totally wrong. It is a mirror image.
Did you not need sealant?
Its a rubber gasket on that one I believe
Thank you I did this job a long time ago think I had rubber gasket and i put sealent on it as well can't really remember but what ever I did it worked @@jasongriffiths8438
Hi, started to get a drop of oil under my van, put it on the ramps and the only place I can see oil is the seal around the drive shaft, but only a bit, do I have to replace the complete shaft or can I replace the seal.
Just the seal should be ok if it’s only the seal leaking
Thank you, replacing rocker cover and gasket at the weekend!
Well done
ho what did you use to take of the screws and what size is it
t30 for coil pack screws e11 socket for rocker cover mate

@@pb2067Is there any reason mibes an 8 socket.

Nice job I’d be pleased with that , what welder ? Gas or gasless ?
New subscriber here to show some support 👍
I need to replace my gearbox soon I had the box delivered the other day. It might be a stupid question once I’ve had the answer but do both drive shafts need to come out
Yes mate both out
Tack your plate on and then put tacks 3inches apart set diagonally opposed to each other as you go. Add single tacks to each previous tack until all the gaps are filled. You can also consider using a airline with a blow gun on it to control heat and or put out fires. The latter will be an issue one day it is guaranteed and the airline will become your best friend. The main thing to avoid is heat distortion and fires.
Thank you John ill do that next time I do some welding
Looking a heck of a lot better now . Not a bad paint match either well done
Thank you Richard just a couple of odd jobs to do on it then ill be putting up for sale . thank you for watching 👀
@@carhomerepair8651 Just in the middle of doing a 2010 corsa d limited edition myself . Engine troubles nearly sorted . If you are on instagram you will see it . Keep up the good work.
@@richardmounfield7822 I try to keep away from that side of things if I did something like that it would be going on the back of my recovery truck to the scrapyard lol
At last a bit of warmer weather . Makes it easier to get the jobs sorted . Look forward to seeing the progress on the Corsa.

That’s not too shabby, it’s not easy welding rotten cars and mig welding outside brings its own challenges, new sub 👍👍👍
cheers les ho yes it was a challenge thank you for subscribing
Look forward to the progress on this one. Will you attempt to tug the leg yourself. Reading your comments it came at a good price.
Cut off weld new piece in I hope
@@carhomerepair8651 Great . I am on instagram and post similar stuff . Keep at it .
Your brave taking on that! Are you hoping to turn a profit on it? No music , we wanna hear you explain :) trust me it gets easier and be confident in your abilities 👍
I'm on it Jay I just don't like the sound of my voice watch this space lol
Ps I only give £80 for the car
@@carhomerepair8651 nor me to be fair..
@@carhomerepair8651 good price 👍
Haha the same hate my voice, well 80 quid thats worth it, I did think it's only a 08 with high miles is it worth your time and money but I guess as you only paid that crazy price it would be a great project good luck 👍👍👍
Ouch, that looks like a shed load of work right there. I admire you for tackling this, I wouldn't even know where to start. Cheers. Andy. Scotland.
just look at it as a big jigsaw . it should be fun there be a lot of cussing he who dares
@@carhomerepair8651 Hi, you dare that's for sure, your attitude is spot on, I shall be watching this restoration with great interest, not something I have ever attempted, I am OK at taking stuff apart ad long as no one else had done it beforehand, it must be my age 😀. Good luck with this, with your attitude I am sure it will all come together just fine. Cheers. Andy. Scotland.
@@andrewreynolds2647 I'm 55 I'm no spring chicken I feel it in my back and knees I cut it out the vid when I'm getting up lol
@@carhomerepair8651 🤣🤣👍 I am 67 years old, I would probably struggle holding the camera that filmed you getting up to be able to cut it out, no I am not quite that bad but getting there 🤣. Cheers, watch your back now.
Hi, dont want to teach you to suck eggs but you would have made your work easier if you had used a rotary wire brush on those fiddly bits. Good job. Cheers. Andy. Scotland.
hi Andrew thanks for your feed back i like eggs lol but your right it would be easier with rotary wire brush machine mart here i come thank you for subscribing Darren
@@carhomerepair8651 No problem you did a great job on that section, I just thought to make your life a bit easier been there, I cannot do what you do now, the back won't take it lol. 😀 Thanks for your reply all the best for your channel I think you will do great. Cheers. Andy. Scotland.
Great job mate, especially as you say you are a beginner, everyone has to start somewhere, i love your get on i can do it style, so a sub from me it is. Thanks for sharing. Cheers. Andy. Scotland.
cheers Andy much appreciated
Hey 👋 You are doing fine , I would recommend you introduce yourself at the start of the video and explain what you gonna do, brake the video up into parts and don’t film endlessly one part , talk throughout the video and explain what you doing this way people feel like they’re interacting with you or it can became boring to watch. At the end of the video explain how the repair went and what are you planning on doing in your next video, hope these pointers help! I’ve subscribed so will check in on you! All the best 👍
cheers jay for that ill do that its just hard talking to a camera lol onwards and upwards
@@carhomerepair8651 I know but you can only get better! 👍
Good video Sir.
Thanks
Nothing to be embarrassed about Sir, good video and I have subscribed.
