Don’t get a purple-worse then the clown tang. I had to take mine out of my 240 display because he would pick on anything I put in there
I also have a hippo, he’s a great fish
@@Trooperishim42222 Hippo Tang seems like the route I'm going. Seems like a solid addition to this tank.
@@FishDaddy3tank is too small
@@aligetts5361 for what a hippo tang. I've seen them in 125 gallons before they looked fine and take years to get big
@@FishDaddy3 yeah probably so! I just think that it's one of those fish that gets so big that it's better left in the ocean or a commercial sized tank.
Wait until dark. Make sure all lights in room are out for at least 30 minutes. Quickly switch on the tank lights. Fish will be in a daze and will be easy to catch if you know where it sleeps at night.
@@SaltwaterSanctuary I will try that in the future. I took all the rock out and got him that way. It was risky though. My blue jaw trigger came out with one of the rocks and almost died from being out of the water. But thankfully I put her back in time and she's fine. Phew
How you gonna cut the video like that. We need more!
@@kinglouiec6338 something came up. Stay tuned more videos coming.
Wonderful tanks...... Nice fish...... Bravoooo!!!!!!!!!!!
@@gabrielbunea5726 thanks for the support! Stay fishy
Try using 2 nets
Are those 2 triggers the same? What type are they? The blue purple ones
@@kinglouiec6338 yeah one is much older then the other. Red Tooth Triggers aka Niger Triggers.
Beautiful fish brother
@@kinglouiec6338 thank you appreciate it they are awesome
Very nice fishroom🖖
Thank you! I appreciate the positive comments
patrolling his land 😂
I think the only option is to take the rocks out cause he go hide in the structure if you put the net in there. But keep up with the good work man, love your tanks man.
It might come to that. I want to try a fish trap as a last resort before all that work
I have a question, on your tanks i notice you have a glass cover over the tops, does this help prevent evaporation and having to add RODI every so often? I have a bio cube currently with a cover/hood and i never have changes in water level.
@@jacksonsparrow8865 I have lids on all my tanks for safety and for evaporation. The mesh lid on my reef tank and pool pond is net and only for fish jumping, and I have to fill it with new water all the time. Which I despise doing. No lid or mesh lid is suppose to be better for gas exchange, but I'm contemplating getting a solid lid for the reef for less work.
Maybe use a large net and when hes going for food try and catch him and if other fish end up in the net, you can put them all in a bucket. it will be easier to remove the ones you want to keep once they are all in the bucket
@@jacksonsparrow8865 I've tried this and still no luck. The clown tang is so fast that he darts into the rock work before the net can even get a good angle! I'm thinking store bought fish trap with food for bait
I have three Hybrid cichlid 2 Jaguar/wolf 1 Jaguar/Texas
Very nice I find the parachromis very interesting to keep.
I got mine from imperial tropicals too ordered as 5-6 male but easily he was 7 inches want to get him a female but it’s impossible to find a female and one that’s at least 5 inches
@@cichlids253 yes I got my female from cichlids of the Americas back when they did private orders. She's tough as nails
@@FishDaddy3 I got a mated pair from Dan back about 2 years ago wish I could of kept them they had about 3 sets of fry when I had them
My brotha those fish are beautiful and your water looks amazing
Thanks man, crazy fish people gotta stick together 😆
@@FishDaddy3 hell ya
Too much hose cut to length and don’t have any slop in it your make dovii looks huge ! I’ve been eying one of these ponds when the time comes have you had any problems with it ?
Are those salt tanks 125’s? Sorry to hear about your wrasse, losing a fish is never fun
@@Trooperishim42222 the angelfish community is a 125g. The predator is a 180g.
@@FishDaddy3 sick tanks bro!
@@Trooperishim42222appreciate it, stay fishy
Nice. Is it rigged, so you can prop it up?
It has little bumpers underneath to keep it in place and a hinge for front and back lid opening.
nice
I absolutely love that dovi pond the fx6 is sucking in air somewhere I had the same issue check the hoses that noise is 100% sucking in air my friend it shuts off for a minute to purge out the air but it definitely sucking in air my friend I would check the lid and hose connections 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼hope that helps
That’s awesome
Looking amazing as usual
Thank you! Cheers!🍻
are those harlequin shrimp? Thats a awesome little tank!
Sexy shrimp and hermit crabs 🐚
Wow beautiful
Gorgeous fish man there colors are popping out looking great
Nice love the song choice to
Thanks bud hope you are feeling better
badass tanks brother! I like big tanks but losing fish like that is always an issue!
Tell me about it, lost a lemon peel angel recently and it made me take a step back. It sucks when things don't work out.
Very Nice!! Love the Fish🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the support, I love this hobby 👍
Awesome aquarium
Thank you and which one is your favorite?
I like your aquariums and I like your calm normal human speech without any stupid drums and other music noise in background. Subscriber #643. Have you tried having a population of gammarus (scuds) in your freshwater tanks and a population of brine shrimp in your saltwater tanks to be live food for your fish on constant base?
Thank you I appreciate the positive feedback. I didn't think about those until you mentioned it, great ideas I will look into them.
Tank looks a bit small
@@aaronbreuker1709 yes this is an old video, he got upgraded to a 500 gallon pool pond with his mate
What is the name if that setup you have for the dovii?
Search pool pond on Amazon, you will see the setups
Sounds like you got a constant air pocket in the canister (air leak in a seal maybe), that's why they recommend to be below the tank. Other than that the set up looks awesome and I'm kinda of jealous👍👍👍
Sweet.
Salt water tank filtration..pls
You want to know what I use for filtration on the 125 and 180 saltwater tanks? Lots of sand and live rock, and Fluval FX6 canister filter. I use carbon sometimes and water changes when needed.
I also clean out the canister filters regularly and keep seachem ammonia alert monitors on those tanks!
You have to empty the filter and dumb water in yourself not self prime it👍🏻
The boys look amazing as usual
Finally an predator sick of seeing lame ass clown fish
Nice Lil home you got there
Yes the basement is my happy place
Very Cool, Thankyou. WOW. Amazing. All the Best. Cheers
turn input valve all the way open, reduce the output valve a little let it run until no more air(noise) then you can open both all the way. Usually that happen when input doesn't supply enough water so it pull in air.
@@scottpham1981 thanks I will try this
@@FishDaddy3 Did it work? i am also having the same issue with a fx 6 in my pond. It starts fine, then all of a sudden starts sucking in air and makes that noise. I don't know if its happening because the tubing is too long, or the canister doesn't function properly when it is in the same level as the tank.
@@subhankarkc8209I tried it and it did not work. So I will be taking the filter down and possibly re doing the hosing and re setting it up without disturbing the media
@FishDaddy3 It worked for me. I cut the "in" hose a little shorter. And reduced the flow of "out" to like 60-70%. So far, the filter hasn't made any sound since then.
Id love to see a close up
Pretty cool
Anthor beautiful video bro line em up you knock ‘em down right on broski
Salt water tank filtration pls
Theres air in the canister.
How do I fix it
