One of my favorite videos!
Where was this video made? Just wondering because there seems to be an Irish twang there.
Close guess, but Island of Newfoundland. Labrador accent is very similar. A lot of our population come from Irish descent.
Great pattern
I like your explanations about how the fly fishes. But do you have to use a light weight floatant, maybe frog's fanny powder, instead of, say, Mucillin, to keep the body weight down so it doesn't sink into the surface film? And wouldn't you also want a really sparse tail and wing/locator for the same reason? Myself, I favour flaired deerhair or elk for the tail like on a Carter Bug, altho it's less durable, and my wing is just a short hot-spot - which twists less on the back-cast on windy days. Fewer wind-knots on reaching casts.
🪕🎸🎻. So ..Rollup Bomber …and pass me what’s left of that strange cigarette… This one will get me so loaded and make me forget about how you shit on me …. Great song 👍
I always tie in hackle at front and take thread back and up through the hackle it last longer . It it just cleaner that way .

AwesomeJody! Headed to McKenzie this August, ever sell any bombers?
Very well done Jody. Bravo.
Very good. Thank you.
Rods’s one of the most talented guys I personally know. Enjoyed the good ol’ days when we worked side by side as tradesmen. Wishing him all the best! ✌️
🤣 buddy at the end isn't afraid of a tailing loop 🤣
Bring on salmon season!!!
At about 8:57 time stamp you say not legal light but bare gun barrel on your back...Does NL allow gun out of case before legal light shooting time.
Thanks for watching! There is a bit of "movie magic" there. using different clips to help tell the story.
The best!
Fantastic Film. What a great ending. I love when hunters get close to Moose. Can't wait to see what you get into next season.
Not sure if its the best mount you have ever done, but I'm 100% sure to me its the best ever! Great work Rodney
Fine job, fellas
Loves it! Great job.

to many ATV trails and cut lines transmission lines, people able to get in there any time of year now lot of animals poached.
Nicely done Rod! Glad you’re finally doing what you love to do. All the best! For those who are not aware, Rod is a talented Welder, carpenter, hunter, fisherman, the list goes on and on. One of the most talented guys I’ve ever worked with. A perfectionist at everything he attempts.
Man what talent, good stuff Rodney!!
Nice video beautiful footage ...
Somebody is gettin' comfy behind the camera
Of course, that should be 'in front of'. I was picturing Phil behind it. Lol
haha...nothing to it.
Angler choice has to be respected ! Retain/ release or a combination , their choice. Congratulations to the NL wildlife dept for a great study. Regardless of your experience ,your skill level regarding catch and release;a thermometer, knotless net and knowledge of the science of successful release…. your release will quickly become more successful.
Good job guys.
The biggest threat to moose on this island is SOPAC's direct and indirect influence on Govt. policy. Area 100 hunt is a direct example. High either sex quotas is an indirect example. It is no secret that SOPAC's objective is the eradication of moose on this island. Also. SOPAC now sadly is the government. Other factors include lack of enforcement, encroachment, predation & poaching.
100% correct. Wish we had more time on the topic, tough to get it all in during 20 mins.
Great Conversation Guys Total on board with the moose population on the Avalon and the number of either sex license being giving out way to many something need to be done about It soon or moose hunting Area 33 will be a thing of the past
Nice to use this platform to keep these important topics at surface!
Thanks, hope your having a good season. Stay safe!
