I love the original because it's like she was singing my life for real. I grew up with an abusive father and a product of divorce. Taken from my mother, I was not able to reunite with her till I was 15. At 27 I met my husband who has been by my side through think and thin (this is his account). The song just hit so many points in my life. I'm still married, going on 26 years now. Father, dead and gone... My mom is still living life, and I appreciate all her sacrifices. She is a rock!!! Love that Kelly found her strength for herself and her children, and this new version of her song is her anthem. ❤️
