I am so grateful to have found this gem
That video felt like a slap in my face. Thanks.
43:50
Too me 8 years to watch this video
This man procrastinated in having kids.
I still haven't watched this. Maybe later...
Looks like a great lecture. Just going to save it to Watch Later
I put this video in a playlist to watch at a later time, only now while scrolling through it some 6-7 years later did I find it. I'll make sure to watch it later though!
15:27
I'll watch this later
Cure for procrastination: In situation X, I am going to take action Y to achieve sub goal Z.
This is hands down the best video about procrastination out there.
47:25 "If we look at it, it's rather pathetic. That's one of the reasons I can't procrastinate anymore cause I think, how pathetic do I want to be here?" I would strongly suggest dropping this from the lecture if you still give it. Not sure what your studies say about shaming the behavior you're trying to fix but it sure *seems* unsightly.
looks to me like someone hit a nerve
That poem hit me hard.
This was in my watch later folder from Reddit for years. I finally watched it with time I have on a Christmas break. Time to make small steps to big progress in 2023!!
added to watch later :)
Thank you
This video has a lot of good lessons, but it could improve it's structure for understanding. A lot of different topics flow into each other a lot, and it makes it less clear what is more important. No clear directions or things to do.
I've had this video in my Bookmarks and my "Watch Later" list for over 8 years now. I still haven't watched it.
I can't believe I procrastinated watching this video for reals.
7:58 culpabilité est une terrible émotion paralysante
Me being " i will watch it soon"
51:22 "Please don't mind the camera, only Dr. Pychyl will be recorded" Meanwhile 3 other people are being recorded lmao
Just want to say I finally returned to this video when I bookmarked it on January 8th 2019 to "watch later" while procastinating writing my bachelor's thesis
I have found this video around 2016 and clicked 'watch latter' and here we are in 2021 and I finally watched it... Only 5 years... lol
This video has been in my “watch later” playlist for a year now
Did you finally watch it
@@dudebroman4039 I actually did
@@coolasacucumber3421 Hell yeah
hi, whats your email i just want to ask questions to you 😊
This talk is a gem... Why doesnt it have more views? This really helped me...
what a wonderful man and great presentation!!
This is more relevant now than ever.
<Pauses video>... does dishes...
I put off on watching this for 4 weeks.. lol
I paused it and still havent gotten back to it until now.. 3 days later.
A well known strategy that has been lying around for ages: in formulating your outcome, BE SPECIFIC. - what exactly, concretely? - when exactly? Pat yourself on the back along the way.
Putting this here to remind me
So planning and making lists is procrastination itself. Haha A lot of meta comments here. Maybe procrastinators tend to go meta more often?..... A lot of the ideas were already around more than 35 years ago in the beginning years of NLP. Some of the practitioners are socalled big motivational gurus, nowadays. Or calling themselves life coaches. Weird world, where self help books are bestsellers but they all say the same things over and over again, but the adult population is increasingly suffering from depression.... and
i’ll watch this later
You know it’s bad when you’re using a video about procrastination to procrastinate..... the struggle is real.
I just clicked the “watch later” button and then realized how ironic that was.
hahaha so true, I also saved up this video to watch tomorrow morning when going to work, lets see if the procrastination succeeds
This made me laugh irl 😂 just on point!!
Thats OK.. this has been in a browser tab with me putting off watching it for days... right now, it says your post is 1 hour old, but I know its days old.
It's been sitting in my ''watch later'' folder for 2 years probably. It's never too late I guess.
Watched it yesterday after it had been on my watch later list for about 5 years. :D
Came for the procrastination techniques, stayed for the asmr
Added to 'Watch Later'.
Saved to watch later
I procrastinated watching this video for over a month
Did you finally watch it?
@@dudebroman4039 Nope hahahaha
@@darkacademia9667 I'm sure you'll take care of it later
I’ll save this to watch later
yeah 54:11 , you can directly skip there.
This is in my watch later for 5 years
I've watched it after two years in watch later, and I'm back because I linked this to someone and they got back to me.... anyway, I think it's worth prioritizing on a month-long timescale. I've found that as I've learned more about procrastination and kept it in my mind more I've gotten better at dealing with it and aligning my short term mind with my long term goals.
This video will forever be in my watch later
One of the best, understandable, relatable & efficient talk about procrastination and how to minimise it. Thanks

I was procrastinating by listening to UA-cam and came across this and now I am halfway through and need to put this off in order to do my job again. Really great lecture. I have lots of anxiety in my final year of graduate school in which I didn't do much...one thing is certain: without a worthy goal and belief that you can achieve it, you just keep procrastinating.
as a student stuck at home due to corona, I'm procrastinating by watching this.
