Don’t let me start about how I dug this movie and how much we would be there…or even before I realized how cool Thome York actually was . This song had a life of its own. Wow. Heavy
I climbed out in 2013, cut off all former friends that voluntarily jumped in the hole. I'm doing OK, not great but not bad at all with a hell of a Cane Corso companion. The grass does get greener, in my experience, you have to want it, you have to want to not be high or be a slave to a powder. Drugs are absolutely harmless substance without conscience. People with drugs? Incredibly dangerous.
Man, this movie is wild. I still watch it here and there to keep me grounded. I think about it often, I have the book too. I need to read it. I'm glad Phillip wrote this and allowed it to become a movie. There's so much to say about it. Good work m8, I enjoyed this.
The end of the book leaves me feeling so empty and depressed. RIP Philip K. Dick. That man was ahead of his time. >They wanted to have a good time, but they were like children playing in the street; they could see one after another of them being killed--run over, maimed, destroyed--but they continued to play anyhow. Reminds me of myself in another lifetime years ago.
It´s the only book I finished in one Session. The Film is great but the book is legendary. This deep sadness of the drug community. I can relate hard. sry my english is shitty
woah so i think i realize why i really like both this movie and donnie darko; they're both set up so at the end no one knows if the crazy person's maybe actually right. or what actually happened
la déesse oubliée a sans doute mis son souffle dans la création de cet univers qui va de Dick à Yorke dans des courants d'air que je ressens maintenant
Very good movie, powerful stuff. The amount of things that can remove humans from the face of this earth, be it a new worldwar with an aftermath of pure anarchy for territorial desputes, or the several genius medical/technological inventions to come that falls out of our hands. In theese times we reached a new bridge, starting over on how to handle a new age, so far in history it has never had a good clean crossover, and i'd recon it wont this time. Sounds alot like Gorillaz made this track?
Good point aspartameispoison. While the film stands on its own as a strong piece of interpretive artistry and has really highlighted the quality of stereoscopic rotoscoping, for my part nothing beats the original Dick vision of progressive social degradation. For those who haven't, read the book and prepare for a potent hit of 60's psychedelia mindset!
I love PKD's original works over all the screen adaptations. The guy was a crazy genius. That said, A Scanner Darkly is easily the most faithful adaptation (of the ones I've read at least). Sure, a lot was left out, and they took some liberties, but overall it really makes an effort to stay true to the original. I also liked how the big reveal about you-know-who at the end was even better than in the original. I had a feeling that it was a strong possibility and they sure played it well in the movie.
Try to keep the effects in your videos down to a bare minimum. If you go overboard it can come across as a bit jumpy and not quite professional. Also be smoother with your cuts, trying not to cut constantly within one scene as it can lack the watcher's view slightly. Use 1 main transition between the ones that need them. Otherwise, very good for a first try. Well done :)
❤💎
Those fuking liberating chess-playing kitchen cupboardz!! Liberating humans for decades...nice guys.
Absolute genius! Thank you for sharing this with me.
What does the scanner see?
When woody rolls a joint in the film with the box out, you can faintly pulk/pull in the background
❤️
A movie standing the test of time!! Soundtrack is an added bonus!!✌🏻💜💡

thom yorke is a genius....i see him round Oxford all the time
I'd agree with that. I'd have preferred to see the clips and music without all the different effects. Still good job.
nice work! (:
