I'm glad people can agree that Octo Expansion was an absolutely brilliant funky little gem of the history of gaming, and that side order was like, less consistently amazing but still very good and repeatable

For me, the only thing keeping Side Order from being perfect is the lack of an Inner Agent 3-esque secret boss. We got a final challenge like that in base Splatoon 3, but the closest the DLC has is a No-Hacks challenge run, and that just doesn’t hit the same. (This also may or may not be influenced by my headcanon that the Inner Agent 3 fight is a representation of Agent 8 overcoming the trauma they’ve suffered but I digress)

I mainly like the splatoon 2 story mainly cause how goofy it feels at times mainly the dialogue pretty sure only spalt3s 2 story modes also have dialogue for when you replay a boss but it just isn’t as funny as when you replay the final boss and it’s just Marie being mad at Callie for putting the hypno shades on again sure the levels where shorter but most of them kinda did have fun gimmicks unlike a certain story mode cough cough splatoon 3 cough cough and the music was great the final boss medley octomemntus(boss them) etc plus it continues the plot from splat1s final fest all around I just like splatoon 2s hero mode

FINALLY someone who thought that side order was disappointing. They definitely should have stuck with the darker horror like vibe in the first trailer.

Side order, in my opinion, was b tier. It got boring really fast, and all people talk about is the dialog.

Idk why but I want my own customizable apartment or something And I remember when I was younger I had an idea where inklings and octoling could have these "ink pets" which were animals who were made of ink and they would give you buffs while helping you battle in turf war or rank Another think I thought of when I was younger were a new type of weapon that were kinda like ink gloves, when you would hold down the shoot button your character would probably throw ink around or something, but I remember the only reason I wanted ink gloves was to punch other inklings and octolings in turf and rank lol Also having more people in battle like 12 people or something One more thing I wanted was for there to be more clothes (like dresses and suits [I just like dresses and suits])

As a slosher enjoyer you're right I do also like Shiver's pallet though. I hated it at first. But using it, it actually got me to enjoy the bow overtime and get better at it's mechanics, and it ended up being the first weapon I cleared the tower with ^^

Splatoon 3’s hero mode kinda sucked. The bosses were (for the most part) worse than those in the first two games. The levels were basically watered down Octo expansion levels. They introduced new mechanics and ideas, but never really did anything special with most of them. And the final boss was legitimately a letdown with two separate deus ex machinas that were used solely to create background spectacle. The story is great, but get that out of A-tier.

S3 hero mode is S atleast with all the LORE and FUN level design. Sure it took inspiration from Octo but still.

I hated how S3 took ideas from octo expansion so its a B teir for me however the story itself is really good and I love it

How did you know I listened to the soundtrack outside of the game

Im usually not very good at splatoon, but I beat the order tower so easilly. I got it on the second try, and then all the weapon in one try. Maybe I am just very lucky, but I feel like it could have been more difficult.

Ok, so these are really accurate. Like, I main the brella and bow in turf, yet absolutely struggle with them here 😅 Yet, cleared it fine with weapons I hate using like the blaster and slosher, and even got there in record time with the charger
