Farriers 👍👍👍
I was worried that if the guy ripped the rubber off the horse's hoof the rubber would come off with the actual hoof wall
Great video. We are using glushus this spring and my horse has hooves similar to the one in the video. I will use your tip to help with his breakover . Thank you for this video and your other glushus videos.
Am I understanding this correctly? What you've done is: create a hoof wall from some kind of glue concoction, in order to fix all of the damage created by previous shoes. Then after its grown out, you've removed the temporary hoof wall you created along with the shoes. Clean it up and leave the damaging shoes off. I'm not quite sure I understand, But! They sure looked good when you were done!
If anyone would have listing to him at the end he has been basically rebuilding the wall of the hoof from other people bad shoeing the nails from past shoeing destroyed the walls and that's how they alow the wall to grow back and not get damaged also let's the horse walk around and not limping all the time with in time would cause the horse more stress then needed so this was a great video just next explain ahead of time why this happen so all the negative people don't have time to bother you
Omg so much tiny rubberpices being spread around. I wish horsepeople would get better at thinking about the enviroment
Senapsdesign and the tires you drive on all the time just magically disappear when they wear down, right? That worn off rubber isn’t all over the place, right?
@@brennenfitzgerald your point? One wrong does not make the other right.
TechnocraticDreadnought you’re always barefoot, right? You don’t wear shoes, right?
This just really does not look good for the horse. I'd like to hear other farrier's opinions on these shoes.
It's actually much better fir the horse. Provided the right glue is used, these shoes allow the hoof to expand and contract the ways it's meant to, allowing correct shock absorption and blood flow. The material also does not cause the concussive damage to the limb that metal shoes do.
nice
I have the same problem What do you recommend to help him out

Why are you put the glue shos any reason
seems like a product that is more harmful than improvement? A why would you use it B. how does it help in any way. C. what is it used for...
The reason this exists is because some people don't like the nailing of the horseshoe onto the hoof, this one you glue on the hoof instead.
You can clearly see some of the wall of the hoof coming off it's thinning the hoof down
thats the glue.he applied glue to stick the rubber
Looking forward to fitting a clients horse with "my" first set of Glu Shu's, the whole barn is curious and excited about the potential of your product.
Well he is not fully sound is he ?. If he wasn't sound without shoes, he's not sound ?!. But yes I agree that if the horse is capable of being ridden "lightly" the movement will aid blood flow and healing. When will you have them available to buy in Ireland ?.
Hi any chance there is a blog on this or more detail. Is this plain glushu or with any insert or cushion material?
man I shoulda had you look after mine and my teeth your a master of them tools GJ~
where do you get them
Five weeks and new sneakers, this is worse than buying real sneakers for a pre-teen/early teenage boy with feet that grow like weeds. This could get expensive.
ecleveland1 very expensive depending on farrier

Hey Jim Here is the Glu Shu.
2 concerns, hoof health being covered with rubber and glue all the time and doesn't filing the hoof wall to remove shoes thin it somewhat?
Hi, we have had the Gushu's on solid for over 2 years on a horse called Gazelle and his hooves are in superb condition. He was previously barefoot. The rubber cuff can be removed by a drawknife - please check out our removal videos. Filing the cuff away to the hoof wall and then cleaning up the hoof does not thin it when done properly. Hth
good to know, local ferrier voiced some concerns about allowing the hoof to "breathe". thanks for the info
46Rambo Coming from a human nail tech point of view, keratin does not need to breathe lol.
Michelle K aha but nails do weaken when covered with nail extensions etc. The nail underneath goes thin and weak. :0/
46Rambo u can see how its thinning the wall if the hoof down and his taking a chunk out of the length to, clearly its all about fame for the farrier and not concern of the horse.
I would like to try some new rasp
Fabulous idea. Fitted yesterday and very impressed - so far so good!
Why didn't you show removal ?
bmc06239 best removal for a glued shoe is to just let the adhesive weaken and the shoe come off, or I'm pretty sure you can use some anti adhesive
Wouldn't the hoof be over grown by the time the shoe falls off?
bmc06239 no, no glue lasts that long, especially under constant use, After the standard length you would leave a shoe on you can pretty much pull/peel it off.
