ok, i guess i'm the only one wondering this, so here goes. how did the oldest figure this out; tree, green, fabric markers, doll, abraham lincoln; what were they building a miniature mount rushmore together before he left? LOL. i agree with the person who whispered, "i don't get it." me neither, why couldn't anybody explain this at the end? LOL. love and respect to those who have served and still serve
I’m the Dad! Every time I deployed, my daughters & their mom did a project, one of them was a felt tree with leaves that had messages written on them by family & friends. Before one of my deployments, we had Daddy Dolls made for them to snuggle with when they missed me. And the Abraham Lincoln was the ship I served on when I was in the Navy (before the AF and before they were born).

it is sad watching these beautiful children crying as their dads come home but its the price we have to pay to stay safe.
My own father traveled for work while I was growing up. I was happy when he came home from the road. When you are the child of a serviceman, it is a totally different animal. He is potentially going into a hot war zone into harms way and may not come home.

No one knows what Soldiers have to face 24 hours a day 7 days a week! They have to make a choices that neither you or I would want to have to make! So just to let you know that they are making a Big Sacrifice so that we can enjoy the Rights we have! I have read part of a US Soldier’s Prisoner of War journal. You would not believe the treatment they had to endure!

He’s not an Airman he’s a Technical Sergeant
He is still considered an airman, regardless of rank.
the air force considers all of their people - of all ranks, to include DoD civilians as "airmen"
Well guessing my two cents are late. Yes he is a Technical Sergeant (TSgt). He is adressed as Sergeant "Smith" and will answer the phone as such. He is, as are all Air Force members from an Airman Basic to a Ffour Star General also an Airman. I was also a TSgt when I retired.
