I love my original storm loft 15-degree quilt. I am considering your 40 degree for summer adventures in West Virginia as it rains nearly every time I go. With current quilt that I own what temperature could I get by doubling up the 40 degree temp? I can get to 19 degree with nemo tensor 4.2 r value with the quilt I own.

still would like to see a vent of some kind at the bottom of the footbox... it gets might hot. even a 5 inch slit with an overlapped fabric and the same snaps you have on the collar. Anyway, great products

I started following you after your second UA-cam video. As a matter of fact I was wearing the very first of your logo ball caps the other day and a stranger asked me " oh when did Outdoor Vitals change their logo and I laughed and said they're still the same this was their first logo. I actually won that particular hat. I remember you were so proud to finally have your logo on the product. Even though you had less quality products in the beginning it was always sold at affordable prices. The next big step was when you left your house and opened the store front. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm so happy for you to see your dreams coming true. The older I get the lighter I have to go so I'm able to travel as far as I use too. Best wishes always. God bless and stay safe.

I see Katadyn BeFree filters and soft flasks, but I don't think those will fit like the Hydrapak custom flasks in the Skyline 30, correct? Does the BeFree filter fit the custom Hydrapak flasks? I thought I heard Solomon and other filters fit on them too?

The guy who needs to lose weight mentioned something about a cult-like following. I wouldn’t disagree. I hear what he’s saying, but he clearly doesn’t understand or take into consideration why many people end up taking this route. Guys like Mike are super fit and most certainly metabolically healthy & flexible . Most people who end up on super low carb diets or even carnivore are not. They do it to deal with decades of insulin resistance, obesity, diverticulitis, eczema, chronic fatigue, etc…problems traditional medicine had no answers to. I myself absolutely suffered with eczema that was debilitating for 53 years. I had it at birth. Try waking up 3 or 4 times a night for 53 years and see how that affects a person. That’s just one major issue that’s disappeared completely since I reduced my carb intake to less than 20 grams/day. It’s the end of the week and I got my 40 miles in. I’m on a 18-6 window, I run fasted and I’m not opposed to adding some more carbs as I continue to become metabolically healthy, but yea - I’m a little reluctant. Just not for the reason that made the fat guy chuckle and smirk.

These guys are healthy. If you have autoimmune issues then you'd need to be what they called "cult-like". Because you don't get results being medium carbs (not in keto).

Why is there a “political” aspect to whether people do a 12-15 mile day vs a 20 mile a day? Even discounting physical capabilities isn’t it just a preference? Some people are more goal oriented and some want to savor the trail in a different way. If it doesn’t affect others then why would it be “political”. I know you’re just offering an option but that’s an odd and off putting framework. Yikes, hiking shouldn’t be so controversial. It shouldn’t be so high school cliquish with the UL vs comfort carriers. It really bothers me that it’s getting to where people judge others. If we want to get judgmental stick to judging people who make things worse for others or harm the environment or wildlife. That said even if I only do a 10-12 hour day because I want to linger at certain spots to take photographs or do artwork or yoga or whatever some of your tips make sense. I especially like starting early and then having dinner on the trail to enjoy the beautiful twilight and dawn hours. Those are my favorite times to be outside. Taking breaks every two hours definitely helps me go longer too. Go longer without feeling miserable and enjoying my time on the trail that is. Isn’t that the point.:)
