The timings of the flights are according to the Lord who created them all. We are privileged to be able to witness His magnificently orchestrated beauty as and when He decides. So blessed to live close by, but not yet viewed personally. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience with us all. God bless.

Sadly they used to appear over a period of months and this was commonplace that they would be around in numbers even if they didn’t top like they do in this video. Unfortunately when they appear like this people forget this is a lot rarer sight

Amazing I went here a week ago for the first time and loved it, I didn’t see any KF and am a big fan of photographing them, I am going again tomorrow so hopefully I will see some, Otter, Water Vole and Fox would be a bonus too, very odd there were more than 2 KF together at 1.35 in the vid, was it parents and young do you think? What time of year was that part of the video and what part of Rooksbury? Many thanks Darren 📸♥️🤩👍🏻

Sad that this is considered a huge shoal. 30yrs ago you would consider this a small shoal and see numerous shoals of this size .

Beautiful footage! Went for a country walk around Broughton with some friends on Sunday. We made an effort to keep Middle Wallop in view throughout as I knew XH558 was going over. In the event we were nearly two miles away but we nevertheless saw the delta shape, heard a bit of sound.... not quite like Fairford a couple of years ago but still lovely. Farewell XH558, thank you Mr Withers.

Captivating. I love the kingfishers and despite my regular walks around the lakes I rarely see them. Guess I need to move my morning constitutional forward by 3 hours! Its a great place to be & Simon has captured it perfectly.
